To open, I personally think you are above average. So, no insults here. From the video's limited time of showing you mitering, I noticed the saw picking up in the track. (going up and leaning in to the right). On a straight cut this is meaningless. On a miter cut, this is self destructive. You are literally changing the direction the blade wants to travel. (Up make you go right, Down makes you go left). Sadly, you first two cuts showed those results. The Rubi's track system is using gravity to hold the saw in it's track. Were as your Alpha PSC-150 (seen in another of your videos), manages this way better. Your recovery has nothing to do with Rubi, and has everything to do with your higher knowledge. Changing the blade out for a more appropriate one, and just being more mindful of your procedures, showed in your end results. On a personal note. I have to agree with fellow poster TYHunter on the quality of Rubi blades. It's not just Rubi. I've noticed it with allot of the brand name blades as of late, including his Montolit favored blades, Pearl blades is another big one. What I'm noticing is these blades are suffering from what I call, mid-life crisis. Translation, at that half way point the blades performance degrades rapidly, to point of replacement. No dressing stone, or maintenance seems to bring them back to life. I'm sure it has everything to do with convincing us to buy a new blade.

Your comment is a perfect summation of the content in the video. The tool is only as good as the blade and the person using it. My longtime helper was a week away from being fired from another crew. Just took the right circumstances to make him great. Same with blades. My favorite blade was considered trash by fellow workers until I studied it, reversed it, and found the right pace to cut with. 10x life expectancy with proper dressing and sharpening. Ill be posting some videos from TISE this week. Im eager to see what is out there.

Hello, what is the purpose of the suction cup where they offer clamp in the bottom? Will the clamp in the bottom should be suffice?

Hi, great video. Which blade did you use for the mitter cut ? What do you think is the best blade for mitter cut ? Thanks

The best results have come from blades similar to a Cyclone Side Segment Turbo Blade turned backwards. However, Rubi recommends using their ECD 2-IN-1 which I have yet to try. Granted the ECD is the go to blade I love using for any grinding, shaping or cutting. It cuts like butter.

This was a special blade that is hard to come by. However, try the Rubi ECD 4.5” blade. Is a great option for everything we do

@@porcelainpanelpro thanks so much my friend. This morning I tried to use Rubi saw ( pretty new blade) to cut 47”x23” porcelain tile , but couldn’t cut it right , also tried to cut with grinder too, chips along the tile edge. Then Went to best tile store in Sanfrancisco, get the 6” katana blade for ( alpha track saw ) and 5” katana blade just made for porcelain- dry cut , brought it to the job site, tried the 5” on the Rubi , even tried it on battery dewalt grinder too with this new Japanese blade, still got chips . So disappointed, went back to floor decor , spent another $1800 something to get the Rubi DC 250-1200 wet saw , will try to cut this porcelain tile 24”x47” tomorrow. I will get the Rubi Blade that you suggested, and try it some day . Anyway, thanks so much for your answer, I really appreciate it .

@@HieuTran-iy3ui are you cutting miters or straight cuts? Straight cuts I’m cutting tiles like you and step cutting using ultra thin mesh. The katana is very aggressive and will lead to chipping. I always do a quick polish and roll over of my edges.

The Rubi ECD is a great blade. At the same time, several blades i have recommended in the past have changed during covid so you might have to do a little testing.

The saw is ok, it’s pretty versatile but the actual saw and the way it attaches to the guide rail is not beefed up enough there’s just to much tolerance, thin blades work better like the sigma or monolite

Thin mesh blades are only good for straight cuts. Not mitering. Ive used 4 different miter machines and this was the most reliable by far.

You need to un the saw backwards so it cuts down the miter not up

On some machines, they do design them that way like the Omega Diamond Miter-It. However, that machine would very quickly glaze over the blade that was running backwards causing you to get 0 movement in production. If you have the right blade and enough water I feel this machine does it right

What i did not get to test was the RUBI ECD blade on the TC125. That blade has been my go-to favorite for all things porcelain. I keep it for grinding, cutting and shaping. Montolit is supposed to work with me in the next few months so Ill make sure to request their blades.

But their turbo mesh is great for straight cuts, and easy to find in stores
