Hi Tarun, I would like to know that if i send a flow control frame with data bytes 300000 and my data size is 4096 bytes, so will i have to send flow control frame again after i have recieved consecutive frames from 20-2f or will it keep sending all the data until the end of data

It will keep sending the data, until any new flow control is sent from another node.

@taruntu3096 1 query... Since we are using CAN Frame which contains [SoF + Identifier+ Control field + Payload + CRC +Ack ] . So 1st Frame and Consecutive frame also contains entire Frame components from SoF to Ack, if YES then CAN ID is decided for 1st Frame and Consecutive frame? or if not then only 1st frame is have in CAN-ID and consecutive frames are having only Payload without CAN ID? Please suggest

Both will have CAN ID to decide the destination. Only the content in the frame will change, all other properties will be the same.

Hi Jinsi, I didn't used CANoe. But, I explain how to send CANalyzer. I think it would be same in CANoe. Let's assume you need to send 11 byte of data(0x1,0x2,0x3,0x4,0x5,0x6,0x7,0x8,0x9,0xA,0xB) in CAN frame. Steps: Create two frame with these data in IG block in same message. Example message ID 0x200: Frame 1: 0x10 0xB 0x1 0x2 0x3 0x4 0x5 0x6 Frame 2: 0x21 0x7 0x8 0x9 0xA 0xB 0x0 0x0 Now send frame 1 and frame 2 one by one as EVENT message(not periodic) by clicking "NOW" button in IG block of those frames in the TX node. Hope you got my explanation🙂.

@@shareefshaik7258 Same hardware for normal CAN and CAN TP. Only difference is number of bytes transmission. Normal CAN message will transmit only 8 bytes in single frame. CAN TP will transmit more than 8 bytes. Transmit more than 8 bytes using multiple frames(each frame of 8 bytes).

Hi Naresh, CanTp(In BSW Layer) module offers services for segmentation, transmission with flow control, and reassembly of messages. Its main purpose is to transmit and receive messages that may or may not fit into a single CAN frame. Messages that do not fit into a single CAN frame are segmented into multiple parts, such that each can be transmitted in a single CAN frame. Yes, it will fit in a normal CAN data frame. The only difference is CAN TP is sent in multiples of 8 bytes data and normal CAN is sent only one 8 byte data.

Example with 20 byte data from 1,2...20 First Frame: 0x10 0x14 0x01 0x02 0x03 0x04 0x05 0x06 2nd Frame: 0x21 0x07 0x08 0x09 0x0A 0x0B 0X0C 0x0D 3rd Frame: 0x22 0x0E 0X0F 0x10 0x11 0x12 0x13 0x14 0x10,0x21,0x22 in first byte of each frame is frame index 0x14(20) in the 2nd byte of the first frame is the length of the message. And flow control frame is also required based on other node response(check video for explanation)
