Drums here are insanely detailed & yet the fills are improvised. He plays so fast because even though the other musicians are in 4/8 the Drummer is playing in 4/16 - which means he plays double the amount of values as the Guitars. Studying this song while high, I realize a few things: The bass guitar does this things where it pretends like it’s tame and not trying to dominate the song but there are many times when it tries to out compete the dominating drums s The drums literally carry the entire song and are confident and assertive. The drums will tone down to make the drums think it’s backing up but it’s actually figuring out how the drums think so that it case infiltrate then.

Krautrock emerged as a derivative of the counterculture of the 60s. It is a mix of psychedelic rock, avant-garde music, progressive rock and funk. Can, Kraftwerk and Neu are the 3 most famous Krautrock bands, but there are more. Tangerine Dream, for example, was another Krautrock band that composed the soundtrack for GTA V. The Velvet Underground, the Beatles' Revolver phase, James Brown, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Terry Riley, Pink Floyd, La Monte Young and John Cage were the main influences of this genre. This genre had a direct impact on post-punk and new wave.

Newer movies are being made by my generation - their use of great music is an absolute joy to behold - betters the movie and inspires the younger generation as well - circles round and round - very cool

It all works so well - the keyboard, the bass, the rhythm guitar, the vocals. Masterful. And my god, the drums, the drums. So technical.

Or… if you listened to a smidgen of any decent music from today your 2 brain cell mind may consider that having old tracks on repeat and verbally shitting on music just because it’s ‘new’ you would fill some of that cavity in your skull

"The Gentlemen" got me here. Who else got here? Damn, this song's one of the most influential songs of all time, driven by Jaki Liebezeit's irresistibly funky and ever-perpetuating krautrock percussion.👍
