Can we give Japan's libero some props?! She's amazing! I mean...for her to be picked as Libero for Japan is like..."Hey guys, as you all know, everyone on this squad is technically a libero, but Kobata is like the GOD of Liberos so she gets to be in a different jersey".

Japanese Players are always energetic & dedicative in the games. Ishikawa is only 173 cm Height but She could spike through double 190 cm blocks. This is what other Asian Volleyball players must watch & learn.
@jonathana1169
3 жыл бұрын
She's great at her height but when you face more experienced middle blockers and stronger teams that's another story. That's why Japan still can't beat Brazil, US, Serbia, Italy and China when those teams have their strongest lineups.
@freddyhsu
3 жыл бұрын
@@jonathana1169 yes totally agree. That’s why they lost to Brazil and Netherlands by 0:3. Japan could have good reception then set fast enough to OH or OP to score, but once they face strong teams with great MB then it’s another story. I would say Japan this year has improved a lot, but still they could only be tier 2 like rank 5-8. Hope they could keep on improving especially for MB to participate more successful spikes and blocks.

That's okay only against second tier teams that have neither offense nor defense... When you're playing against top teams with strong offense, playing defense is just delaying the inevitable (not playing to win).

A brilliant match between the Canadian's aggressive and perfected plays against the extraordinary coordination and individual aptitude of the Japanese. The Japanese were capable of harnessing the Canadians predictable playstyle though to their own advantage, which eventually led them to conquer the match. Congratulations to Japan!

Japan's defense is so strong nothing seems to hit the floor
one of Canada's problems has always been their setters. The decision making is just too slow. Even if there are two blockers in front against their open hitters, they would set it their ways instead of giving it to the opposite or playing the backrow.
