• CAN WE SAVE THIS FLOOR...
What a project! We are restoring the timber floors in this 100 year old property in the heart of Melbourne, Australia. We wanted to keep the amazing history of this house and although the original Baltic Pine floor had to be removed due to termite damage, we managed to source some beautiful reclaimed Tasmanian Oak hardwood floorboards coming from the same time period.
Follow along as we go and collect the timber planks, cut them to size, glue, top nail and secret nail them in. As well as all the fiddly bits that come with an install!
Although the main part of our business is sanding and varnishing we were excited to take on this project and change it up a bit!
Stay tuned for PART 2 of the job which will include the sanding and coating of the fully installed floor - this is going to come up a treat!!
Floor size: 77 square metres (3 bedrooms, hallway & lounge)
Includes some soothing unintentional machine ASMR!
