Wishing you all the best of luck achieving your goal on behalf of Jeep enthusiasts everywhere . As a fellow broke Jeep restorers , I commend you all for your quest to see a Jeep live with one goal in mind ; to drive it again without having to push it . Be safe , avoid tetanus and please try your hardest to retain originality , where all possible . I’ll respect that obtaining original Jeep replacement parts are expensive and not always obtainable . But please don’t assemble a wash machine motor or ten with the intent in mind to go green . I don’t believe you all would anyway , but avoid the temptation . You all can totally do this , just keep your eyes on the goal and maintain direction . While fasteners can be replaced , they do cost money . All the PB blaster cannot always get them loose . Sometimes you’ll need heat . Mapp gas helps very much . Wear gloves where applicable . Protect your eyes . Resist the temptation to be a hack wanting to do what’s right , I.E. , butt weld two pieces of sheet metal together , rather than just slap a piece of sheet metal on top like a slice of cheese , weld and call it good . Words to live by but easier said than done , when your broke . But do try because no one is going to get this done for you , that’s why you have got to do it . Be safe , have fun , stay dirty , don’t quit . Always .
