I have 3 shops. I average about $20-30 a day total, but that’s only the last few months. In the beginning I was lucky to pull in $1-5 a day. Just keep working at it if you enjoy it and you’ll see more results. Artwork will improve over time if you’re dedicated, designs will rank up and you’ll start pulling in those sales. This video is very realistic. Everyone wants to make it big, but not everyone can work hard.. I started POD as a hobby and to make some extra money, but in the end I really liked the idea of designing something that someone would buy.. My redbubble shop has 61 sales (about 30 from the same sticker 😂) and 521 designs.. Some tips 1. Be consistent (10 designs every day, 6 days a week will get you 2880 in a year) 2. Keep learning, that's the key 3. Don't just get inspired(or copy in some cases) spend time on original work, it it's unique and good people generally like it.

I started my redbubble journal in 2021. I made my first sale with in a month. I also uploaded hundreds of designs prior to that first sale… it was work, first sale I made 0.33. Less than a year I’ve reached over 1000 designs and have made 70 + sales . I probably make a few sales a months…. I will say you can make multiple sales a week and or a month, but it takes some time and dedication… and being consistent. Every month I see couple of bucks around $ 50 or more but its really dependent on sales. I will say the more stores you have, and the more designs you have out there can give you possible success and you could see steady sales… its possible but it might be a lot of work.

I have a couple of designs on over scaled niches which I got incredibility lucky because I only started 2 years ago but I am on the first page of it. It is the cat niche and remember people I count my blessings because when I started I made cat designs and had no idea everyone was making a cat design and it has over 2 million designs. Remember to take advantage of new products as I did because that was the only thing that got my design seen and at that time face masks were huge and still is because of the demand and rules about face masks. Remember you have to be extremely lucky to be seen on a big niche like cats the odds are bad to get even one sale probably 1 in 50,000 would make it and I got lucky 2 times in that niche. So like the lottery it is possible to almost unlikely you will hit on big niches. you have better chances on lower competition niches.

I really love your videos, especially with regards to critiquing designs. It is really helpful. I have bearly started and am very insecure about my design esthetics. KZitemr Greg Gottfried says it is realistic to make a dollar a design a month when all designs are spread across the three main platforms and designing for only sub niches. I'm going to have to reconsider the whole POD business model

Well I can't say it's impossible, but I will say it very very difficult. The Pareto Principle would state that most designs will make nothing and a few will get most (or all) of the sales. I personally do a general store (because I like having fun and creating different stuff). But I think if I was really going to push on a sales, I would recommend a dedicated store with one brand or type of design. But I think either would work (I am living proof that a general store can get sales). You can also set up more than one store (but you would need a completely different sign in and email address for each store, so RB would never know you were the same person).

@drjonesey5
2 жыл бұрын
Anything is possible on Shopify because it depends on you. Shopify is just a platform to sell through but you need your own Shop and traffic. Therefor you must create a brand to sell. So for example "JC Shirts" for example is the brand and you must create your own traffic as if you're a legit clothing store. I am planning on doing this in the future (2 years from now) but I wouldn't recommend jumping into that as a beginner because it takes money to do it and most of that money goes to advertising on social media or if you buy physical products to brand. I suppose someone could spend a lot of time doing free marketing to build a brand and drop ship the products but that's not really a long term strategy for when you create your own brand, that's like when you first get started. I'm not touching self branding until I have an extra $5,000 to dedicate to my own idea and I've drilled down 100% into all the POD stuff I want to do and I estimate that'll take me 2 years if I stay consistent.

Yes you can definitely do that - you own the copyright on your designs. Redubble only cares if you are copying a design on their site (so it's crappy but people will go to Teepublic, steal the designs and then upload them to Redbubble and there is not really anything that the Teepublic artist can do). Printful with Ebay is a really good idea I guess.
