Thanks for the video brother always good as usual I do want to say that I find it interesting whenever somebody goes to do a proper feature film that cannons never considered and Sony never considered. It always Has to be Alexa or red which I find interesting given that the movie the creator wasn’t done on either and Done on a camera that no one up until that point would’ve considered shooting a feature film with so I wonder how much we get caught up on labelling and Hype and if you shot this on a canon 300 at the end of it to be honest wouldn’t you be just satisfied with the image qualityespecially the public when they see it you think they’re gonna know oh that was definitely shot on a red I don’t think so. I think you could’ve shot it on your 300 and no one would know any different

It's not just about the brand, but also other aspects such as dynamic range, production budget, and the platform where the film will be showcased. Some people fail to realize the importance of using a proper cinema camera until they've experienced it firsthand. Personally, I wouldn't purchase a RED camera for myself due to various reasons, but if I needed flexibility in terms of image quality and log profile capability, I would opt for RED or ARRI. Regarding the creator's argument, it seems that everyone uses it as an example every time brand discussions arise. One should understand that any camera can be used for filming when you have an $80 million budget and the expertise of multiple individuals in lighting, photography, and other areas. Furthermore, it's known that Sony paid them to use that camera. The original plan was to use a blend of RED and ARRI, according to the people who worked on the set and were surprised by the sudden 'change of plans.' It's not that there's anything wrong with the FX3. There are better cameras for the job, considering that the FX3 can't record RAW or provide proper exposure tools. However, the underlying motivation was a simple marketing strategy.

Funnily enough, I actually made an earlier video about this very thing (i'll put a link below), and the C300 is one of my all-time favorite cameras, and I have no doubt that I would have been very happy with the final image, but it was missing a couple of key things I needed for this specific feature film. The first was that I wanted to shoot in 6K for various reasons in post, and the c300 can not do this. I also wanted to shoot my entire movie in RAW, and working with Canon RAW vs RED RAW is not even close in ease of use and flexibility. I've also been burned by the stabilization in the c300 and I like the fact that the RED Komodo records gyro data. These are some of the factors that played into my decision. Also, as much as I wish it were not true, the audience might not care what you shoot on, but the companies who ultimately buy and distribute your movies do. And right now ARRI, RED an the Sony Venice, are the formats they prefer. Nowadays, it's not just about the image quality but also the other technical needs of the production. That being said, I would have no problem shooting a feature on a Canon, if that was the right tool for the job. Thanks for the comment and have a great day! kzitem.info/news/bejne/rKyC02l9mp90em0si=ipmoh487TWylM17r
