Those cheap Powerbanks, they're decent enough for a few months in my opinion.. after that they're a cheap way of getting battery protection boards along with a 2000+mAh 18650 battery for around 4 euro.. which is decent enough when not buying in bulk.

In short yes you can as seen in the video but the excess voltage 5V-4.2V = 0.8V x ???mA will result in heat destroying the battery's electrolyte and creation of gases over time. The battery will bulge up and its capacity decreased prematurely. On the other hand, if you charge it at 4.2V 1C rate and if the current reaches 1% of 1C, 25mA for 2500mAh battery, it's considered fully charged. In practice, it might be hanging around at 30mA.

I bought a headlight that did not come with a charger but there was a little piece of white paper that says the battery that is installed is a 3.7 Volt 2 amp battery they sent a USB a to USB C cable for charging but no instructions and there's no way of replacing the battery it's a large battery I don't know what size that is named for

It may be an 18650 battery, if that is the case you can find 18650 chargers online for very cheap. You'd need to remove the battery from the light and put it in the charger.
