Regarding the CPS payment problem. I got the inside line on this and what actually happened was when they changed payment systems they issued invoices for outstanding sessions but if you hadn't charged in the previous month it was for £0.00, which of course you can't pay on a direct debit but accounts still got stopped!

Love your scenic trips around Scotland. I get so inspired from these trips. And one additional feature is that if people have thoughts about the impossibility to road trip with an EV they have to watch this. It's like you say. After getting the Tesla myself I no longer think about driving EV. It's silly easy and effortless.I put in my destination/destinations and the car instantly knows both the way and where and when charging might be a good idea. Usually I have to stop before the car because nature is calling. If there happens to be a charger at the spot just plug it in and let the car get some juice while I get rid of it. No time waisted at all.

We did the full NC500 2 years ago and deffo a fab trip with LOTS of interesting places. We stayed at the altnaharra hotel overnight because we needed to stay at tongue or thereabouts and everywhere decent was full so we drove down there and back again next day. You can watch deer in the fields from the restaurant 😉. There’s a terrible stretch of road close the the loch I think that is single track with few passing places and goes for miiiiiles. About 20 I think. Luckily didn’t meet too much traffic. Minus points for not equating climate change with those temperatures. It should roll of the tongue like a motor action. Expect a letter soon cancelling your Lib Dem membership. Tut tut😂

Very enjoyable as ever. will have to check my CPS account, not used it for maybe 2 years so need to make sure its still live! I completely agree re the need to stop, and charging the car will pretty well fit into that schedule (my need for stops is more frequent than the cars need to charge) . I guess you had the option to charge at J O'G which would have meant there would have beenno need to stop where and when you did, which would completely destroy any luddite arguments - you were going to J O'G and were stopping there anyway. Car would have charged while you were looking round and having a coffee. Looking forward to the next instalment

Another enjoyable video. It's only a week since returning from Orkney and it was nice to see some of the familiar roads. CPS got in touch a few weeks back to say the were changing their billing system and I had to go on line and BASICALLY change some details which means that you will now be charged when you use the card instead of being billed at a later date. I also heard of someone yesterday who said their CPS card was not working. I will be using my one this weekend so I will see how I get on.

@@justgetatesla My first car blew a gasket, it would overheat and need to cool down for half an hour after a couple of hours on the road. I sold it cheap, but I could have said 'Naah, don't worry about it, you'll want to take breaks anyway!" People want to take a break wherever and whenever they feel like it, not where and when the car demands.. (Nice scenic vid though!)

I have just returned from a round trip Liverpool to Orkney in my Model 3 SR LFP so its nice to see on film some of our route. A couple of points to add which may be of interest to others travelling north. My bigest mistake was to ignore the car telling me to top up at Charnock Richard as I felt I had only just strarted the trip. I chose to stop at Tebay as it would then be lunchtime...big mistake... the Superchargers were rammed with a long queue, so had to drive back over the motorway to charge on a new Westmorland charger...more expensive but fast. So lesson from this is, if the Tesla tells you to charge somewhere, just do it as it knows better than you. Larkhall with masses of V4s is great, but I wish Tesla would put benches nearby so you can sit and have a coffee rather than sitting in the car. Inverness was grim inside a 1970's multistory car park (I also paid for the parking as not sure if there was a way to avoid it). On the way back Aviemore wasn't much better at the back of an hotel amongst the bins and Perth lots of chargers but scruffy with loads of litter blowing around. Wish Tesla would put more effort into making the environment around the Supercharger network nicer places to wait. However, brilliant trip and Orkney glorious. Charles

Thanks for another marvellous video. I'll be checking my CPS app and updating it if required. If you've been to Skye like me, you'll know how bad the charging is there: all the points could supply 28 connectors. When I was there 18 were broken. I had to charge at 1•2 kw on my granny lead which took me three days to get enough to reach Kylerea, a 50 kw unit. I arrived at 04:30 to be sure it was clear, then I left the island, never to return. I think SWARCO have taken over, but things don't seem to be much better. Here endeth the rant!

Hi, I'm watching Munroe and it's being said the range anxiety was invented in 1916 where the electric cars fought out with the readily assembled combustion cars, you had to disassemble the engine top every ten hours and the battery car had to be topped up with water each day. So the 10 hours sounded like the best option then.
