@@MathandEngineering Today I have been thinking about our right and left brain hemispheres from the perspective of mathematics, science and engineering. I believe that our skills and basic analytical abilities are strongly left-brain activities, but our abilities to solve novel problems and especially to discover new mathematics or science and to design and invent have significant right-brain components. I believe we may be making a huge mistake by not teaching our STEM students to access the right brain more.

@@STEAMerBeari couldn't agree more! I study the process of proving in mathematics, from an educational perspective. You may be referring to what we call heuristics. I also couldn't solve the problem in my head! Tricky one!

I remember this problem was presented a short time ago. I got the same answer after playing the video until you drew the diameter and then going on my own, but I find your method easier. Let b=180-a, then 7√2/sin (b) = 7/sin (30) = 14 --> sin (b) = 7√2/14 = √2/2 --> b=135 -> a=45 --> x = 14*sin (45) = 7√2. But I like you drawing the z line and z = 7√2 * sin (30) = 7√2/2 and x = 2z = 7√2 m.

Yes sir, the diameter touches to point of the Quadrilateral because the Circlic Quadrilateral has two of it's angles to be Right angles, the diagonal that connects the other two angled will be a diameter because it subtends and angle 90° to the Circumference

Não que eu tenha enxergado isso sozinho, mas isso decorre do fato de que o ângulo do vértice de baixo do quadrilátero é reto. Conhece esse resultado?

@@muriloamorim2731 sim. Quando um quadrilátero é inscrito em uma circunferência, a soma dos ângulos opostos medem 180 graus.
