Hi Evelyn! In my opinion, the choice of vocab is great. I also liked that it was 10 idioms in less than 10 min video. What I'd do is add pictures to illustrate them. I think it's easier to remember an idiom when you clearly see and understand the things it is based on.

Very good idea to teach it this "reverted" way; instead of saying the expression first you make us guess it. It makes it easier to remember for me and it is more exciting. Thanks a lot. Great work.

I didn't know any of the idioms explained. The video was in a highly advanced level. Thank you, ma'am.

I've watched a few of your videos, and I love when you pick up on little ways poeple think something would be said that actually people simply wouldn't say in that way at all, so I had a little chuckle to myself at the first idiom when you said "team I play for beat the other team by 10 points". There are no 'points' in soccer. Whilst it can easily be understood due to the context, iroincally it's just not the way a native who plays/watches soccer would speak. They'd say they "won by 10 goals", or more likely would actually state the exact score for both teams rather than how much they won by. So " we won 10-0' for example, or we won '11-1, it was a landslide victory'.

Hi, Evelyn: You examples are great! Frankly, I picked "lopsided victory" since I feel that it's more common in sports while "landslide" is more appicable to the area of politics. On a different note, you said "This expression is comprised of two parts", and it sounds odd. "Comprise" is an equivalent of "contain" or "have"; thus we can say "this expression contains/has/comprises two parts". But saying "is comprised of two parts" is the same as saying "is contained of two parts" or "is had of two parts", both of which are obviously off-key. I suspect you must have meant "composed of two parts" but inadvertently used "comprised" instead.

I knew most of these expressions, but remembered them only after they appeared on screen. 😅 Maybe 4 of them I could guess from the definition and 2 idioms I had never heard before. This video was fun and captivating. Thank you for creating content that challenges the intermediate learner just right, Evelyn! 👍

As a native Australian speaker, I’ve never heard of “Landslide victory” or “straight shooter” in spoken English. Often we’ll say ‘someone won by a landslide’ instead.

It’s the kind of words presented here that make it difficult sometimes to understand native speakers, because the words randomly pop up in conversations and you can’t make sense of it right away.

Eh this video is kinda more interesting for me than the other ones where Evelyn just criticizes the others... idk, I'd be watching more of her videos if she just played games and reacted to those moments in the game; but idk since she has all those degrees she might just not do those things
