Epic video. Love that you show the capabilities of a small swiss army knife. Proves you dont need a massive heavy leatherman to survive.

It would definitely make survival easyer if you had a leatherman wave.

@@ernestwalden3894 No screws or nuts or bolts on trees though so the pliers and drivers wouldn't help. No metal bits on trees so the file's not getting used either. The saw on Victorinox is better, even on a small SAK. So no a LM Wave wouldn't be more useful than a Victorinox Hiker.

@@simonh6371 I would say pliers for pulling a bullet. I know what was shown on video. I'm a 50 , got my first .22 at 5. I've never seen a bullet removed from the shell that easy. Just saying, the only way I've ever gotten a bullet out was with pliers or a kinetic puller.
@simonh6371

@@charlessalmond7076 That's true, also for any equipment repair or maintenance you're going to need pliers, I was thinking more along the lines of bushcraft when I wrote my reply. In fact I always have a multitool of some kind with me, when I go camping I use it for all kinds of things from picking up hot items (if the handles on my canteen cup get too hot) to straightening tentpegs.

Nice vid bro. I have a friend, who is a refugee and he had to escape from Isis? Not sure which bad guys it was. Anyway. It was him some women and children. All they had were the clothes on their back and he had an ak with three bullets in it. They spent days in the desert freezing at night and hot af during the day. At one point he told me a group of badees got real close and he just pointed his ak at them and hoped like hell they didn’t see him. They didn’t, obviously. Far worse odds than anything I’ll probably ever face with far less gear. The will to survive is the most important item to have. That’s the point of this long comment.

Great video. I have always thought about surviving off my EDC. There is always a balance between carrying enough and too much. I carry the Leatherman Signal, gives me a blade, saw and small ferro rod. Keep up the awesome videos!

I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for making it so interesting. As for water, I may have tried adding a hot rock to the snow, and add more snow as it melted. Your way worked though. Thanks again, and great shot with that squirrel. I hope nobody (trolls) complains about shooting it, as squirrel is tasty.

Good video, I like the edc challenges, little more realistic to everyone, might recommend getting a jacket with a hood that can be zipped off so you can keep the jacket on

You forgot to say, if it is summer/dry, that you should find stones to surround the fire, as it could spread and create a forest fire.

Hey Luke, found you though Zach Fowler's channel, and heard about your thyroid cancer when were you diagnosed and how did you notice it to go to the doctor in the first place?? I just found this pimple?cyst bump on my neck recently and noticed my lower neck is kinda swollen I've been so scared to death to go to the doctor. I think I'm gonna go go Monday after hearing you survived stage 3

Guess yull have to survive with your edc. Glock 26 is a nice tool but never thought about it in a wilderness survival situation. Im going to have to put this theri to the test this fall when hunting season starts. I'll bring along my glock 19 and my Gerber strongarm.

Bullshit! You cannot take the bullet from the case that way.
@charlessalmond7076

Yep. If the bullet was that loose, it would seat deeper when the gun cycled creating excessive pressures. Glocks have unsupported chambers. Basically it'll grenade in your hand.
