Canada’s food industry relies on migrant agricultural workers, but last year some from Jamaica spoke out against what they called ‘slavery-like conditions’ here. A subsequent Jamaican government investigation found that overall, most of the workers are taken care of, but some told Ellen Mauro why they disagree.
