Here in southeast Michigan, we have an abundance of lakes, ponds, and marshes where numerous Canada Geese breed and raise families. Often the parents will brave traffic to cross roads with their goslings to reach water or grassy areas. Traffic always seems to stop and patiently allow them to go on their way. I've never seen anyone intentionally run one over. It's gratifying to witness.

I live in the Northwest & this is common here. Canadian geese are so very beautiful. It is a welcome respite from the daily grind to stop and watch parents cross with their goslings.

As a huge fan of geese, I am really happy that they could actually cross the street by themselves

@@vibingroup3460 They sure have a lot of mouths to feed, how do they manage? Title says they're Canadian so it must be true, eh? I'm even more surprised the drivers were patient(in short supply in the US) and let them cross, (without running them over). It's almost shocking!!

I used to live in a moderately quiet suburban area just outside London and one day I was walking up the main road when a woman walked out of a private side road followed by a duck and a string of ducklings who she was beckoning to follow her. There wasn't any traffic around and none of them were in any danger but it was such an AWWW inspiring sight!

its nice that all the drivers stopped. we have some here in the uk that cross the main roads with their goslings. they seem to know when there is least danger. ie when the traffic lights stop the flow of traffic.

Yep, you see.. they stopped at yellow line which place cars won't reach, then watch and plan the next step. smart enough

The Western World, and U.K in particular is so civilized, I lived in London for a year, and I had to go back to my country India since my student visa expired, it was so sad for me to let go of the U.K and the lovely British people and the Canada Geese and Swans, I hope I get a chance to come back to Britain someday, there's no value for any life in India. From a sincere, law abiding Indian.
