Lot of kids that don't actually understand what's said, but it makes sense. We're not used to Yerba at all so it'll taste pretty trashy. Wouldn't be an issue if we were raised drinking it from a certain age. This Yerba sounds amazing if eventually I can get those notes once I'm able to distinguish the flavors. That sounds like a delicious candy treat in a caffeine flavor to be honest.

Oddly enough, when I drank the Yerba in the kit you sell, it tasted fermented, off, very strong, and had an effect that almost made me feel jittery and sick. I gave Yerba another shot recently after buying 3 different Canarias Yerbas, and absolutely loved all of them. They were smoother, the effect was subtle, and the taste was quite tame compared to what I got in the kit. My favorite Canarias is the green tea and ginger version.

It would certainly help, but it wouldn’t completely transfer over. Mate is even more bitter than black coffee and if literally anything goes wrong, it could make you shudder from the bitterness. But I’d urge you to try! Your pallete for black coffee would aid in getting accustomed. Hope this helps

@@ttttttttttt2582 That's my main worry about it tbh. I really like tea and coffee and my palette is mostly bitter stuff anyways (I even enjoy me some grapefruit) so I feel like it would just fit perfectly for me. The work I'd have to put in to enjoy it fully also sounds fun because I had to work hard to enjoy coffee anyways.

This guy gets so much hate because I believe yerba mate in the US is seen as a modern trend for snobs and hipsters, when in South America it's the very opposite, it is the drink of the people. It was historically used by the native indians to endure long journeys of labor and exhausting expeditions through the jungles and mountains. it continues to be the collective energizer of proletarians to this day You're supposed to always share your mate, say you're working hard on something in the company of someone else, like you and your homies are building a business or making a long arduous trip somewhere, that's the habitat for yerba mate because it serves as a shared source of energy and focus. It fosters a sense of camaraderie and helps the gang get through those long days better by providing a collective boost of caffeine.
@sniffaboi5232
2 ай бұрын
Beautifully put, thank you. Sadly the sharing aspect of mate which is as important as the mate itself usually gets overlooked by westerners new to mate because we have been so conditioned culturally to be sterile and fearful of spreading any bacteria, which happens to an extent when people drink from the same bombilla though it's a normal part of our human life that it happens and should be to an extent in contexts like the mate circle for example. But it's an another subject altogether.
