Candace is absolutely right about socialist healthcare I have citizenship to six countries, including the UK and Canada. I’m currently living in Alberta Canada and I waited a year and a half just to see a surgeon about my knee. I was trapped in my apartment unable to walk for a year and a half not being able to work not being able to live my life whatsoever. If I had private healthcare, I would’ve been seen operated on and be back in my life within about 6 to 8 weeks instead, I spent 18 months in prison in my apartment living off my savings. Socialist medicine is absolute pure shit. Majority of people in Canada don’t even have a family doctor. They’re unable to get into surgeries. This is coming from a Canadian who knows

Do Canada not have private and public hospitals? I’m in Australia and we have public hospitals that any citizen can go to for free, and sure we have to wait but not longer than 3-5 hours some times, not all the time. We also have private hospitals that costs us money and anyone can go there but if you can’t pay upfront, they take you to the public hospital. But we can go see our GP for free for non-emergencies.
@russellwood8750
24 күн бұрын
@@araunah-jovitagerber2739 in Canada, we can go see our GP and he will bill the taxpayer for the visit. People have the idea that it’s free. It’s not it’s paid with our taxes. There is no such thing as free anything. When I first came to Canada, you had a public healthcare system, but the public would pay for it. It would be deducted from their paycheques each week. You have to pay into it for a couple of months before you are eligible so newcomers would have to pray that you didn’t get sick until you were covered. However, they done away with that and fully supported by the government and taxpayer well. The problem with this is service went to shit. In public hospitals, you’re waiting 3 to 5 hours to be seen. That’s not so bad. I know people here that wait months and months just for an appointment. In factors a large portion of Canadians, who are now going overseas for treatments that’s how shitty and crap socialist medicine is.. It’s all nice and touchy-feely on paper but in reality people suffer for it, but the politician looks good smiling on television look what I did. I see there Smug faces, and say to myself I hoped that scumbag gets bone cancer. So yeah, I’m not a fan of socialist medicine. Here’s another interesting fact almost every major treatment cure and protocol all comes from the private sector not the socialist sector.. so if everything goes socialist, you’re not gonna see any real improvements in anything ever again.

UK has private and NHS. At least if you have no money you can still get emergency treatment and Ambulance with no charge, but if you want you can pay for it too for the faster treatment. US would be better if there was a safety net for people with little or no money instead of incurring massive medical bills. I have to say, NHS generally, is very good care, even if waiting lists can be long.

I disagree with Charlie about Medicaid, and people not liking it. I am on Medicare and Medicaid and I have no complaints at all about the care I receive - it's top notch. Honestly, this is the easiest insurance I've ever been on. When I had private insurance, it was always a battle to get anything covered, from medication to the tiniest procedure, like having to get a tooth pulled in an emergency. I would like everyone - except rich people, who can easily pay for their own medical needs - I want the poor and the middle class to have what I have, across the board - IF you have contributed. So I do believe in a middle ground when it comes to this - the rich pay for private insurance or out of pocket, the rest of us don't. No apologies. And before anyone gets it into their head to "shame" me for having Medicaid, I worked my a$$ off and paid into the system for 40 years, and now I'm getting back what I put in, and you should be, too. I'd rather my taxes go to medical care than Ukraine.

If you guys are smart in America, you would change your medical system to be much like everything else you have to buy, where free markets have been repeatedly shown to lower prices, increase quality and make whatever widget accessibkle to the most. I worked with Cirque du Soleil (Canadian company) in NV, USA. Thus, i worked with a lot of Canadians in USA for 12 years. They all flew out to Canada to get medical care when injured or sick outside of work and would fly back when done. Its the first time i knew of Canada's health care. Also, as an American i have had private health insurance for decades and can never get important procedures covered. Ive beed on medicaid a few times too. Coverage, wait, doctors were identical to private insurance, with 100% coverage (better). My husband served in the military and so i was covered by Tricare then Triwest. I was blown away with how great, easy and how much they covered. It felt weird. A shard of glass cut my artery. Tricare paid for ambulance, hospital, surgery, xrays, blood transfusion, everything with no challenge or delay. Where i was confused was they insisted on paying for scar reduction procedures cuz it was covered for my mental well being. I have NEVER experienced private insurace caring about covering more than the absolute bare minimum and even then its a huge fight for that. Now i just opt out of any coverage cuz its pointless. I pay cash IF i need something and even then, doctors make it so GD difficult to get proper help even when i upfront pay whatever fee they set. I considered remarrying a friend in the Air Force to get the "horrible" governmental medical coverage i experienced before. I guess my realities over and over and over again are coincidentally the outliers....?

When governments take over an industry sector, resources cost more, staffing costs more, services cost more etc. Why? Because the government is paying so gradually prices for everything increase. People forget it’s the taxpayer who really pays and they end up losing. Then there’s those people who rort the system. ❤️from Australia 🇦🇺.

So true. And they also mess it up so badly. For example my cousin a nurse was hired to work in a major Canadian hospital but only to specialize in ivs. So if during her shift there was no ivs to put in, take out. Then she sat in a room and watched movies, read books. She was not allowed to do anything else in the hospital but ivs.

Sadly, the kid asking about being labeled as a racist or what have you, the issues is that while those labels shouldn't mean anything to you, they do mean something to your future because people are being fired and black listed because of these labels.

I think the kid who is asking about the happiness level in America and saying it's low, and brought up opiods all point to a possibility that he deals with depression himself and/or knows somebody who does and may have self medicated themselves to death with opioids trying to get out of the funk of depression. Charlie and Candace should pick up on the possible why he is making this metric argument. Its probably based off of sui- cide rates and mental health patients and over doses, not really about measuring happiness. I think what they are really measuring is unhappiness based on the statistics I just mentioned. Something painful has happened to him and he doesn't know yet how to make peace with it. This is all speculation of course, but I think its highly probable based on his field of study and areguements he has made. There are many people who deal with mental health issues that go into this field to try to help others and maybe figure some things out for themselves. If this is the case, my heart goes out to him.

Crowder waited for 4 hours and gave up? I live in NY. I went to urgent care for a stomach ache and they sent me to the ER. I was at the ER for a total of 12 HOURS. And STILL paid $2000 AND I have insurance that I pay for every month lol

Not a dime in Canada and the myth that it means exorbitant taxes is wrong. It's not that much. And a lot of people also have private insurance through their employer.

It’s because of how the systems are at the moment I have no insurance of any kind. I always remain careful and work close to home so I would not have to pay for something that never helps. At least until the next election when something has to change.

I'm confused. If America is the "greatest country" that has ever existed in the entire history of humankind, why is a "Turning Point" even necessary? The real question should be "why is the US so badly broken"? Kirk's statement of "US greatness /(he means supremacy" is simply oxymoronic. Candace ... I think you are much smarter than to fall for this nonsense. I concede that the US "leads the world" in various areas, such as having the highest number of incarcerated people languishing in prisons (the majority of whom are black or brown...not white), the greatest number of homicides, the highest numbers of homeless people (including veterans), the highest national debt level on the planet, the highest levels of drug-addiction (through both legal and illegal drugs), demonstrably more mentally-ill people than any other nation, the highest abortion numbers, the highest obesity levels per capita on the planet, bar none. So as not to stir up the algorithm I won't even go to the present orchestrated destruction of traditional family values and social morality. The US has also been involved in more wars, more international conflicts, more attempts at illegal/subversive regime change, and have killed or directly facilitated the killing of millions of innocent civilians...more than any other single nation on earth... most of whom were indiscriminately murdered in the last 80 years or so;... hence the US is the most "hated" nation on the planet. And yet, paradoxically, perversely, ....despite being the greatest military power that has ever existed.... they haven't actually WON a war since ....when? Seriously people, get your facts straight.

I don’t think government benefits for single moms incentivizes father absence. I would debate that a root cause of father absence is domestic violence. Single moms do not want to be single moms. Being a single mom on government benefits is embarrassing because of the way you are judged and ostracized by people. That’s fine because it shouldn’t be a long term crutch. Does this mean moms who don’t support daycares should be forced to put their babies in daycare anyway and go to work? It’s easy to say if you have a husband and a nanny isn’t it? I’m just offering a different perspective. 52:32

Socialism and communism rely heavily on government services, which ironically highlight failures caused by human error(s). The socialist and communist think they can eliminate these errors by micromanaging every level of government. That in of itself is a giant waste of money that is full of its own failures and the cycle repeats. This is the core problem that leads both of these governments to enforce such lethal practices that kill hundreds of millions of people. In order to make these errors go away the solution is simple... Don't talk about them. When someone does talk about them, they are silenced by any means necessary. That very act is why the freedom of speech simply does not exist in society run by either government structures. Then when the truth gets out and the ideas begin to fall to pieces propaganda is used to hide the flaws. The simplest form is to downplay it and then label those who speak the truth traitors. This is exactly what we see happening today from the youth who believe capitalism is bad and socialism/communism is good. They are working very hard to cement the propaganda that erases the freedom to criticize their flawed ideals. Ironic still is they think their "democrat" socialist leaders will be the perfect candidates to lead the charge. It is all doomed to fail before it even begins, even the democrats know this, which is why they are pushing to make Harris appear middle of the road. When she is actually the most extreme candidate that has ever ran for president.

Personally, I must medicate myself heavily due to pain that makes me unable to eat, or move: This might stem from some diagnosed chronic diseases... And I agree that Dr. often overprescribe, go to a psych and you may end up with a strange diagnosis, as well as loads of pills.

Well, I don't agree on the happiness debate. Germany takes in way too much migrants and donates to other countries money that is missing in the school system and retirement payments. Maybe the rate should be compared on the base of the amount of people living in the country.

I disagree on the weapon laws in the US. I am glad I live in a country nobody carries any gun around nor has them at home. I also disagree on the US beeing the greatest country. Wouldn't want to live there. And comparing the US to Belgium lacks so bad. The size alone! Really? That was a stupid argument to make.

I'd like to see the statistic Charlie is referring to when he says that the United States takes in half of the world's immigrants per year. In 2022 alone, the United States took in 2.1 million immigrants and the EU 5.7 million. Otherwise, I agree with him absolutely on MANY points! Edit: I normally love the debate culture of Candace and Charlie, but not in this video. I don't know what happened before the camera was rolling, but how they both were debating in this video doesn't reflect their normally well behaviour. They both were pretty rude and didn't even let the calm questioneers finish their sentences. In my opinion, this is quite a fail.
