@That's The Word The bigger story is that Canelo had no plan, and if he did have a game plan it was a poor one and/or it should have been quickly realized that it wasn't working. Ok, next step, what was Canelo's adjustments? Nothing, no adjustment. We all saw it, none of Canelo's punches led to anything, no purpose, no setting up anything, no working and changing the behavior of his opponent... nothing. Just knocking at the door and confirming the door was full of excellent defense, ok what do you do now?

@Efrain Lopez I agree with you, Bivol said that both fighters had all the skillsets to win this fight. But after how this went, I personally think Bivol will be slightly more aggressive in a rematch, but mainly with foot work and not punch power or selection.

@Chaun Erickson very true, there's just too many people projecting their bias onto this fight. This was a clear win for Beavis, it really wasn't even that close. I scored it nine rounds to three and that was about as good as it gets for Canelo.

@Chaun Erickson How many times did his head bounce back? How many clean shots did bivol really land. From this angle you can clearly see how much bivol miss not Canelo cause Canelo was throwing fewer shots but more significant. While bivol throwing more but miss most of them

Bivol's consistency won it for him. Canelo In the earlier rounds and round 9 and 10, he compensated against Bivol's consistency with the more effective strikes but his strategy to go for the KO, drained in some rounds where he could not repel Bivol's consistency.

True, Canelo didn't win any rounds and knew he was beaten long before it ended. It was a scientifically superior performance by Bivol. Great, great boxing.

@Constantine he was loosing against kovalev, who used the same strategy as bivol, he is outranged, outweighted, and looked sluggish, he won against a faded kovalev, but couldn't against prime bivol. Out of his weight class

@wbsesq1 they asked Bivol who he thinks will win the fight . First off, he said he hopes Beterbiev wins. Obviously because he's already beaten Smith and Beterbiev is a huge money fight. Especially now that Bivol's name suddenly got massive. He did say he thinks Beterbiev wins because of his skills and strength . But he warned that Smith has " big natural power and can end a fight with one punch " . That's my only fear. Beterbiev can be hit. My guess is Smith will tag him and tag him hard . How will he respond ? We don't know. I do know one thing, this is Beterbiev's toughest fight to date. Let's hope he comes out of it with a victory.

@wbsesq1 he's relatively young and undamaged. He fights at 174 on average. For him to lose 6 lbs??? One big hot steamy dump , there's 3 lbs. A couple sauna visits to get rid of some water , theres the other 3. Losing 6 lbs for an athlete that size is nothing. For a natural 140 lber to get to 134 is a lot harder. I'm not surprised at all that Bivol can get to SM. All I'm saying is he's definitely comfortable at 173-75 too. And is a legit LH Champ. I'm not denying Beterbiev his dues. But I think when the 2 do fight, Bivol will handle his camp a bit differently. Probably be 180 a few days before the fight, then dry out for the weight in. He'll add a bit of weight, not much so he doesn't lose his speed. Just enough for a bit more weight on the inside. Honestly , I think he does the same with Beterbiev as he did with basically everyone. Stick and move. In and out. I feel Beterbiev will definitely land more punches than Canelo did. But I feel Bivol will land more punches than he did on Canelo. I see an action packed fight with both imposing their skills on each other. But I'll still take Bivol. Depending on what Beterbiev does to Smith, I think the bookies will have it close in a " pick em" type odds. That's one fight true boxing fans are drooling about.
