I bought one yesterday and ran 400 rounds through it flawlessly and i love it. Do u think its still not safe to carry ? Eapecially when i hesr about these problems occuring into the 500-1000 round mark. Makes me nervous. Idk what to do. Like is it every single pistol or certain ones ? Idk

Well I reached out to canik about it and they said they are definitely aware of the issues but he did not confirm whether or not they have fixed them. Mine, as well as others had issues straight out of the box. Others, like you said, took about 500 rounds to start failing. I wouldn't carry it especially if you'll have that worry of "Will it work when I need it" in the back of your mind you know

Hi, how did you apply that texture to polymer for extra grip.

This was from handleitgrips. Precut to fit the firearm. Just applied a bit of heat!

Sent mine in twice and they still can't fix it so I SOLD it. That MAG WELL is TOO THIN. When it gets hot the polymer will soften up and flex. It also causes the frame to flex. Canik needs to use a glass filled polymer like the polymer Ruger uses. FN Reflex is a better gun.

My mc9 had trouble after only 200 rounds . The trigger would not reset at least once a mag so sent it in . Just got it back they swapped the recoil spring which I do not understand why they did that . I haven't gone to range but the spring is extremely hard to rack back smh .

Tbh you need to wear a tight belt with the factory holster, but it still sucks. I have a Vedder Light Tuck coming for mine that will make carrying it much better. Aside from that, yeah, it depends on your grip for how the mag drops out. I like the gun, but I'm not sure I love it yet. My EDC is a Glock 48, and I LOVE that gun.

Vedder makes great holsters! Hopefully Canik finds a way to tune this thing up with their next gen cuz it's definitely got the potential!

Have 500 rounds through mine. First 200 rounds, had 4 failures to feed (round would nose dive) and the rear sight screw came loose. First 200 rounds were 124 grain. The last 300 rounds ran flawless and used 115 grain. Haven't tested any hallow points yet.

The only issue I'm having now is the mag not ejecting freely otherwise it's been great!

I agree the holster for this gun sucks. It does not have any retention. I even tried to make it tighter to no avail. Love the gun. My other canik holsters are way better. They work well on the retention. Don’t know why the ones for this model suck. Oh well I’m getting a new iwb holster for this gun.

I make custom holsters out of my little shop, and I just got a mold for the MC9. I’m interested in trying this gun out and making a rig for it, but I’m concerned about the problems folks have been having with the gun.

@@kobudo I was also concerned about the problems I heard. But so far I love this gun and have no issues. Have about 700 rounds through mine and it shoots great. I just figure if it had a problem canik would take care of it. But so far so good. I would love to see a holster you make when finished if you make one. Interested in getting one. Iwb of course. Lol

@@davidbradley7032 Thanks man. I’m definitely going to make an aiwb for it with Ulticlip and their Crux claw, and maybe a strong-side hybrid setup too. And, of course, a comfy owb setup for range days.

@@S.0.G The P938 is the only SIG I'll own. Had the P320 C when it first came out and it was good but too big and I tried all the P365 variants and they all sucked. The P938 is accurate for a small gun. 2-3" groups at 30-50 feet. My full size guns with a red dot can barely group that good. 🤣
