I'm reluctant to over-modify my guns for a couple of reasons. One, if I change something I want it done PERFECTLY. Not a lot of talented gunsmiths around. Two, You're usually better off buying a better firearm as appose to upgrading an above average/average firearm. Good discussion!

I can definitely respect not wanting to screw up yout internals. There's quite a few upgrades that are "dummy proof" .. but I've been proven wrong

Depends on what it is. Springs, easy. Slide mills and other stuff...(hands gun to more skilled people)

They are around have seen them several times at bass pro and academy and a few gun shops around Tampa I have 2 now that I got a bass pro 2 weeks apart also and paid 900 plus tax for each, also TTI has them on their web site for 1100 with a MOA 3 mecanik sight on it regularly!!! You just got to know where to look!!! Also have over 1500 rounds of 115g through my first one no jams or malfunctions so far and 1000 round through my second one which jammed the first two shots but that was it, which I contribute to operator error, which I believe that I didn’t have the rounds pushed back far enough into the mag because they didn’t hit the barrel ramp right and got stuck before going into battery!

You can definitely them for a fair price. But you should be careful not to bite on the overpriced options when you don't see one at the local shop. and I'm glad they are working for you. I'm testing mine out now & it's pretty solid.

The slide on my canik doesn’t go all the way forward and when you pull the trigger it fires but the firing pin doesn’t even strike the round
