This is one the best Q&A on KZitem. Informative and still fun. It is really hard to grab the attention of the audience for 25 minutes but you managed brilliantly bringing us along your adventure. Great Job!

A couple options regarding second spare; a. if you are with several vehicles that are all the same rim pattern you effectively have statistically enough second spares to cover the group even if you all only have one spare each. And, b, if you are worried about the weight of a second spare (very valid concern especially if it has to go on top) then you can just carry the tyre itself (sans rim) and a pair of irons to fit it. Good video, really enjoyed it!

Great, straightforward no nonsense appraisal of the CSR and associated issues. 😮I really look forward to driving it in your tracks soon if possible & will allow time to appreciate it too. Thanks for your experience and feedback. Sorry but the Range Rover looks the best though even though 40 years old, pity they did not make them or better stuff!

Well… As Andrew mentioned, I never knew you had a channel yourself sir … 😂 Anyway … The Q&A is brilliant insofar anybody can learn from your technical issues. That’s the beauty of a platform such as U-Tube. On a more personal note … Watching another German doing well in Aussie Island gives me great hope for my dream to come true, maybe in the future. As I was living in the greater Melbourne Area in ´88 and friends , I mean my Aussie Friends, they always tell me to come back … well there is a thought 😊… … Grüße aus dem Odenwald 👋 (german: greetings from the Odenwald) a wooden area in the south of germany 👋

Moin Heiner, Yep, was waiting for your little tech round up of the trip. Not to short, not to long and just enough infos to get the message across. There would be hundred of scenarios and tips on how to prep and fix it. As a big fan of loctite and marker paint on nuts and bolts, I would mark with the paint all adjustable bolts, nuts and adjustment shims so to find back the proper adjusted positions. Or a punch mark will do. Adjustable UCA vs. fixed correct angled! Your experience tells it. Enjoyed very much Andrew’s 12 part series to watch week by week and have sufficient time in between. Your part on the more tech side in separate vids adds nicely to it. This trip looked a hell of a prep upfront. Recon you went home, worked out in your business and simultaneously fixed all the problems on your car which looks like comes from oversight of some small things in aged vehicles. And YES, of course would like to see you more on trips then in the workshop!! Family trip in private ❤ Big trip with good mates once a year ❤ Getting out as much as you can… Keep the sunny side up and have fun Cheers

🦖 Super interesting & informative. A must-view for anyone considering tackling such a remote and challenging track. Big thumbs up for reminding us to appreciate and preserve these unique, untouched environments by slowing down, taking your time and leaving only footprints (or tyre tracks).

Hi, thank you for your suggestion. We may do an in depth video in the future. For now, you can watch Ronny Dahls Modified episode of Heiner's Hilux, they go over it briefly about 16 minutes in. kzitem.info/news/bejne/t35jlneFhKdon2k

I'm actually slightly surprised to hear that you replaced driver seat, suspension and braced the chassis. You obviously know your vehicle, but I did assume that you being you, those type of modifications would have been done years ago. Thank you for the channel and the education that I gain from you and your team 👍

Awesome. As a wannabe overlander, I'm very interested in the nit & gritty. Nice to know about tyres, but I'd be keen on how much fuel and water you used, why you chose the suspension that you did and what brand. Thanks, great video.

You said that not many of the wells were working or drinkable. The oringinal plan for gaining access to the CSR was to do some maintenance. Did that happen?. I suspect that did not really happen and was not ever going to happen. You would have needed a lot more time on the track

Just your normal Indian take away place around the corner that you like. I prefer a curry without potatoes because they don’t taste too well when being warmed up.
