One thing is to know all the numbers, other is how those numbers are supose to feel in your riding, but most importantly is how those numbers work for you, and these guys can be really geeks of the sport, but the feedback you give is key. Thank you very much!

Thanks for the in depth review! I have one of these, so i am biased. The jekyll really kills! Loves speed and big hits. Like the guys said, you have to ride it hard. It you want a passive bike it is not for you

So for these new enduro bikes, it would be interesting to hear how they compare to some of the established top bikes in the class like the Specialized Enduro, Rocky Mountain Altitude, Yeti SB150, etc.

This bike is a ton of fun. I replaced the X2 with a MRP coil shock and it's so good. So much traction and control. My most consistent thought while riding it is "huh, I could have gone faster"

Why, if you don't mind me asking, did you replace the X2? Did you have an issue with it?
@Cassienope

@@miguelnavarro2571 I love coils. The X2 could have gotten there - it needed volume spacers. But a coil shock just feels amazing.

How do you feel the Jekyll, compares against the Forbidden Dreadnought?
@TheLoamWolf
Жыл бұрын
We've not ridden a Forbidden for very long but based on our experience with high pivot bikes, the Cannondale will likely be a better all arounder, pedaler and suffer less of the drawbacks of a high pivot since it's a pretty low/mid high pivot bike. The flip side is, it may not be quite as DH-bike feeling on the fastest/burliest DH trails. Similar to comparing Jekyll to Norco Range.

I sold my Dreadnought as I didn’t get on with the geometry (couldn’t quite get centred enough) with top tube a fraction long for my physique. Went with the Jekyll and I can say that they perform similarly with the exception of the feeling of a longer wheelbase with the D’nought and the Jekyll more ‘whippy’/‘playful’.

@@notkvnchn I owned the Enduor and I'm rinding the Jekyll now, I would go with Jekyll, I'm just having more fun on that bike even though a lot of the numbers are the same/close.

Its AI or Super boost. The latter def requires new wheels or adapter kits. ai offset don2 on in 20mins

With the ai rear wheel spacing could I just get my current “normal” wheels re-laced to work?
@dariodigiulio3758

For sure, any shop could cut different spokes to nudge things over. In some circumstances you can even dish a built wheel 3mm to one side and it'll do just fine as long as tension is even.
@Cassienope

The shop just needs to dish the wheel slightly. No new spokes needed.

I put it at like 27-28 percent cus at 30 I noticed I was blowing through the travel but that may be a volume spacer problem

Not my favorite, honestly. The rims hold up pretty well, but the hubs are very low engagement, to the degree that they took some getting used to.

F cannondale for giving this bike that stupid AI spacing. Great now all my wheels don’t work with it and my trueing stand doesn’t work. We have standards for a reason.

Its 3mm of a dish adjustment. Normal wheels will work fine too.
@dariodigiulio3758

Normal wheels work just fine in a pinch, 3mm of dish isn't going to make a huge difference. The upside is better chainline with a normal boost bike, which is a nice perk.
