This review was done a while back. Now that I have a better understanding of the product I am more than satisfied with the idea of it. I would like to thank Firkin Cellars for loaning me this unit. Even though it"s not for me I believe it is a great system.

Haven’t used this unit before but I’m guessing that the die’s needed adjusting. You can save yourself a lot of frustration and wasted beer if you do your testing and adjusting with water cans first. Then when you’re happy with the seams and function switch to beer and you’re good to go. It is frustrating that they don’t include the necessary measuring instruments and instructions to properly test and measure the seams. I work with seamers and find that as long as your die’s and table height (what the can sits on) are adjusted right, canning goes super smooth and is a very convenient form of packaging.

Good to see someone put up a video of this. The first couple you did the lever in the wrong sequence though, not sure how many of your failed cans were from this issue.

Almost all the cans failed. I feel I should stick with kegging i think

@@SimpleHomeBrew I bought the cannualr when it came out and it never worked. From unboxing I couldn't get a can to seam properly ever. I think I wasted 30 cans trying to calibrate. I finally sent it back and bought an oktober sl1 and I've never been happier. It is 1000x easier than the cannular. Right out of the box I was seaming cans. It has attachments for a bunch of different can sizes also. I highly recommend oktober to anyone who wants to start canning their homebrew.

I really can't advise you on that one as you don't live in my area. All I can say is talk to your local brew shop or check out KegLands website. www.kegland.com.au/ I Don't know if they ship into your part of the world.

No good mate. Stick to kegging and bottling. As a packaging man give it a miss. Its not worth it. We are homebrewers and thats whst we do. Keg and bottle. Cheers mate
