Some tips for the double pump.
Also called the washing machine, this is a handy tool when jostling for position within the zone.
- tight core
- relatively straight arms
- lean into the down movements and use the paddle as a fixed (ish) point to pull and push on.
- might also help to extend the lever by making the side that is in the water longer by holding close to the blade on the opposite side ( bad habit though)
My technique is not great, I haven’t been training much, but I’ve decided to put this out there to build up a canoe polo skills data base.
