The little pieces of hanger wire make using the canteen cup stove a lot easier. Try it...if you want me to make a video about how to make the wires just let me know.

Nice set-up and really liked the DIY alcohol stove. Will you consider making a video on how you made a 1 inch stove? Since we all love our canteen cup Tuesday, we need a shorter stove. Thanks Matt
@FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival

Thanks. The smaller stove is really just a regular beer can stove shortened. Same principle...

Your homemade stove and dollar store spoon, fork and Walmart cup almost make me feel guilty using my Heavy Cover Canteen and titanium spork. But I’m working on living with it. I was going to talk to you about lack of seasoning until you broke out the hot sauce”twice”, I use it instead of salt. If you had dusted the shrimp in Cajun seasoning or Old Bay that would have added another layer of flavor. When I make this at home I do my shrimp in a spicy tomato sauce. On the trail I’m going with your recipe.

Yep, I am the king of budget hiking stuff...lol. Remember these are supposed to be easy meals that you can duplicate on the trail so usually I do not have a lot of seasoning. I could not resist the hot sauce though...

another thing: come off a few bucks & get this.... brasslite.com/products/brasslite-turbo-i-d-backpacking-stove/ it burns on low for 90-minutes and i give you my word i'm not kidding. i have 2 of them and it only holds 1 OZ. of HEET max. it will burn on med for 25 mins on only 1 OZ. of fuel and will let you do longer cooking like meatballs / pasta & stuff of that sort. if the idea's not your cup of tea - no worries. it's only a suggestion. yes, it's $25, but so what - you live once.
