Cantonese fried mee hoon, is one of my all time favorite. I have been enjoying this noodles since i was a kid and now my kids have started to enjoy it. Its packed with flavors and taste so good. Yummy.
Ingredients:
Rice noodles
3tbsp of cooking oil
8-10 slices of ginger
1 chicken breast
650ml of water
1tsp of garlic powder
1tsp of white pepper powder
2 cubes of chicken stock
2tbsp of oyster sauce
2tbsp of light soy sauce
1/2tbsp of sesame oil
Pak choi and carrot
100g of prawns
1tbsp of corn starch mix with water
2 eggs
Method:
First fry the rice noodles till its crispy. Next get a pan add some oil and fry the ginger. Then include the chicken and stir fry it for a minute and pour in 650ml of water. Add garlic, white pepper powder and chicken stock cubes in and let it cook for 3mins. Next add the oyster and soy sauce together with the sesame oil and mix it well. Once it comes to a nice boil and the vegetables and prawns. Cook for 3mins or till it comes to a boil then add the corn starch in and give it a good mix. As it cooks and the soup becomes silky add the eggs in as shown in the video. Finally its ready. Get a plate, place the fried noodles and pour the soup on top and its ready to serve.
