Driving like this is spectacular on the video but is reckless to the environment and will result in track closures. By reckless I mean too fast causing a big wave (erosion). chewing up the bottom for others, is bordering on dangerous driving and it’s a long way from home when you break something. Setup is important so look at tyre pressure, walk the track and take the right line. I’ve been going to the cape since the late 1970’s and speed is your enemy. This sets the incorrect practice for those that don’t know better. Agree with the third car rule when you drive like this. The issue with speed is that one wheel will lift and you are back to three wheel drive. Slow down and use all four wheels. They are correct with tyre pressure but it needs to go lower. I used about 18psi on those tracks due to corrugations and slowed down to max 50kph, walking pace through creeks & soft sand. Travelled the Canning with 10psi for over 1000kms, no tyre damage and did not require recovery even when towing my camper (2000kgs). If you bead a tyre it means you are not driving to the conditions.

I also have a Warn winch in my -79 Blazer, and now I have learned to test it before going off road, as it has had enough troubles already; the winch motor has been corroded twice, and the relay box also twice, and actually I found out that again only (fortunately) "in" direction works. All my other 4x4:s have cheap chinese winches that just work, period. So, perhaps there is a good reason to pay much for a winch, I just not have found out what that is. At least it is not the reliability. But these videos are so much fun to watch, the seemingly endless possibilities to find epic trails, too bad I live almost exactly on the other side of the globe, in Finland
