Hey man, I'm a regular at Capital Karts and I can testify that the track has so much more grip now. New fleet of karts have arrived a month ago, new rubber since then on old karts as well. Absolutely agree with most people, £64 for a Grand Prix is a little steep however given its location I can understand why. Hopefully, they will bring back the membership program as they did with Barking. Give me a shout if you're willing to give the track another go! I run average lap times of 50.6 on a good day and my PB is 49.6.

@@jcf1karting If you do, I recommend watching two videos by @ktips about Capital Karts. One where he compares a "fast" kart to a "slow" kart on the track, and how it affected his laptimes. He also has a track guide which really helped me get a good time on my first visit. He is currently 8th on fastest times ever at Capital Karts.

Hey nico. Would you recomend capital karts or team sport?
@nicolasnguyen2331

@@PANCHO336CAPO hey man, it really depends what you are looking for - general fun and ease of access, I'd say Capital but if you're more serious about progression, TeamSport has the league that runs (very regularly) and with the BIKC in place, you have higher chances of getting into the semi-pro scene. That being said, in my honest opinion, TS marshalls are really uptight and in every single session I've been to there are always yellow and red flags (yikes). On the other hand, if you go for a Mini GP at Capital on a Thursday/Friday/Weekend evening it also becomes a bumper car track :)) Go to as many tracks as possible if you can!

I’m so upset they closed the barking location, if you’ve been there how does this compare to barking? The Karts, speed, track, track length etc?
@jcf1karting
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s a shame the barking location closed down. This one it’s completely different I’d say. Different karts as these new ones are electric. I wouldn’t say they feel as fast but the power is instant. The track is a lot more slippy not much grip at all. Track length is ok but all one level. Go check it out it’s pretty good 👍🏽

@@jcf1karting Used to love the Barking track for their cheap grand prixs, but the last couple of times earlier this year it felt like a shadow of its former self - Karts absolutely knackered, track falling apart, increasingly apathetic and disorganised staff. New venue looks decent, but the pricing (£48 for 30 mins) seems very steep for indoor electric karts on a painted concrete floor. Would you say it's worth it?
@jcf1karting

@@firstinflightuk agree with you with the barking venue. I think they must have known it was coming for a while. The new one is defo worth a visit. Couldn’t see myself becoming a regular. Hopefully the track grips up a bit once some rubber goes down. & yeah it’s not the cheapest.

@@JO2GALORE I’m not too sure how someone could have died there, it is an indoor track, it has seatbelts helmets proper race suits, I don’t really think it’s possible. When I used to go there i thought the safety was fine, it’s a shame if you ask me but everyone has opinions xD
