Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe neurobiological brain disease estimated to affect at least 2 million of our fellow citizens. Many people with this disease are often blocked from getting proper treatment. This Capitol Hill Briefing on May 24 addressed the enormous access barriers to care, the dangerous health consequences that have resulted and the solutions required to resolve these issues.
