Hi! Generally the best way is to just experiment and learn by trial and error. I also had some previous experience with another DAW (FL Studio) so it was easier to jump into Cubase after learning that. However, there are tons of free tutorials on KZitem and other medias to learn the basics of Cubase. Once you get the basics (such as adding/removing instruments, note editing, mixer window/routing, you should try to experiment with the program to learn it more thoroughly. It only comes with the practice. Hope this helps a bit!
