I enjoyed the show and I am a fan of its Scott Bakula, but their portrayal of Vulcans was awful. So many writers forget that Spock was half human, and this was why he was so closely tittering on human emotion, under his logical exterior. They mistakenly write Vulcans, as if they all are like Spock. Without Gene at the helm, there hasn't been any true Trek in line with his vision produced. It always gets bogged down into the degraded sensibilities of today rather than the vision of a better tomorrow Gene saw and the psychology of those future humans. They are not supposed to be a mirror of us just with fancy spaceships and ray guns. Applying today's psychology and moral norms to the humans who inhabit trek is a terrible mistake that is repeatedly made by writers trying to hard to appeal and interest a modern day audience. Gene understood that a vision of the future and a glimpse of something better was far more interesting that writers and producers in Hollywood realized.

there is some beta canon about how during the war between the Federation and the Klingons, back at a point when most ships were predominantly crewed by single species, the humans had the most success against the Klingons. This was because Andorians, Tellarites and Vulcans all behaved in their own predictable manners, so once they figured out it was them they were facing, the Klingons knew how best to fight them. An amazing series showing how it all started from quick translations in bad situations to fear of teleporters and how harsh things were before energy shields and even discovering holographic technology. Things taken for granted in the rest of the timeline.

In this one scene, there was so much body language! These actors were so underrated at the time! The eye glances, the posture, the eyes, the furtive glances, there was tons of communication going on with just facial expressions!

In my opinion, Ambassador Soval has as much influence in Star Trek as Spock. He was essential in the creation of the Federation of Planets. Just as Spock was instrumental through his travels and the reunion of Vulcan and Romulus

I know, ENT is not liked very much, bit it will allways have a place in my heart, simply for sheding some light on the Andorians and the Telarites. Think about it, one of the major forces of the alpha quadrant, one of the founding races of the federation. We see some andorians in TOS, one in TNG (the hologram for Lal) and then for years nothing. I mean, no blueskins on Voyager ok, but in ds9?? were they not curious whats behind the wormhole? we needed to wait many years, to learn something about them :)

I wanted to like the series but only watched a few episodes in. I didn't find it anything that I wanted to attach to - I watched Voyager beginning to end and felt a loss when it ended, and a disappointment with how it ended. I guess I wasn't interested in doing that again.

Andorians. One of the founders of the Federation. Hardly ever used and explored in Star Trek shows and movies. You hardly ever see one of them. Then Enterprise came along and made them super interesting. I liked every episode that featured them and especially Shran.
