Brayden wrote “Capture the Moon” as an ode to the old Latin saying “Carpe Diem (Seize the Day)”, encouraging the listener to live life to the fullest in each moment and achieve your dreams before our time on this planet is up. He originally wrote the song in 2011, and it has reincarnated 6 times as different genre forms in all of his music projects.
Not long ago, Brayden lost all of his recorded music in a fatal rainstorm, he thought music was over for him. But The Moon had other plans: On 2/22/24, Brayden Pierce became 1 of 222 artists to make history as selected artworks land on the moon by way of SpaceX Falcon 9 on the lunar spacecraft named “Odysseus”, celebrating NASA’s return to the moon in over 50 years (since 1972). Brayden Pierce became the 1st music artist with an electronic dance song on the (actual) moon with Capture the Moon (MOOON.PARTY Mix). The curated art is a part of The Lunaprise Museum, a permanent archive on the moon set to resonate for a billion years.
