very nice, i don't often do cartoonish or caricature styles myself, but these always help for more realistic styles even, helping with the characterization. a thing i'd like to see on a upcoming video is how to draw hands as in caricature.

Stan Lee is a con who stole credit for work he didn't do and talent he didn't have. Look into what Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Wally Wood, Neal Adams, etc. had to say about Stan Lee and how while chief editor he used the "Marvel Method" to get his artists to create the stories he takes credit for.

Pretty damn heartless of you not to care about all the people who actually created the characters you geek out over.

Don't know if you're being sarcastic but when I think about how royally these guys have been screwed over it boils my blood. These companies are making billions of these guys work and the companies cannot even let them have their legacy much less a tiny taste of the money. Kirby's estate had to sue, and they won and still Marvel tries to cover up everything Kirby had done for the company.

Gracias, Misael. If you click on the "More" button beneath the video and then click "Transcript" then it makes the all of the words in the video appear as text. You can copy and paste the text into an internet translator. I know that it is not the best solution. But it might help. We unfortunately can't have professional translators for all the native languages of our viewers for all of the videos we create.

Unfortunately the amateur's drawing with it's unskillful, clumsy style resembles Stan Lee much more.

Thanks for your feedback Clemens. I agree there is an appeal to many of the qualities of the student's sketch and he should be applauded. He spent a good deal of time on it. I filmed ten of these student critiques in a 2 hour time span. And in this student critique sketch, I was showing the student how he might improve the sketch of just the BODY. Not the face. If you watch the whole video, I think you will understand what the purpose of this critique was. The face on my demo clearly was just an afterthought scribbled in just to have something there as a placeholder. You might enjoy seeing some of our other videos where I do focus on the likeness of the face.

I see! Now I understand the primary purpose of the video. I really didn't mean to insult you, as I (being an artist myself) really like your secure, pointed strokes. Thanks for the reaction!

No worries. I probably should have just left the face out of this sketch like I did on many of my other student body sketch critiques because I didn't allow enough time for the face to make it as good as I could.
