Welcome to Washington's First National Park and the gem of Seattle, Mt Rainier!
When planning your trip to Mt Rainier, please be sure to look up what areas are open beforehand. The park gets very cold and most areas don't operate all year. Get all your relevant information at: www.nps.gov/mo...
The hikes we did are:
Myrtle Falls; .25 miles, about 10 minutes to walk. Kid, stroller, and dog friendly.
Nisqually Vista Trailhead; 1.2 mile loop trail. kid, stroller, and dog friendly. Great views & foliage!
Bench & Snow Lake Trailhead; .75 miles to Bench Lake and another .5 miles to Snow Lake. Roundtrip 2.5 miles. Kid & dog friendly, great beginner hike and great views!
Comet Falls: 3.6 miles (out & back just to Comet Falls). More challenging, very steep and can be slippery. Young dog friendly. Awesome waterfall at the end!
I forgot to mention our campsite in the video! We stayed at Cougar Rock Campsite and could rent a spot with a table, pavilion, and firepit for $20. They also had a bathroom on the premise and food-safe boxes/trash.
