This brings back some exciting memories - I used to work for Gerry and his road-going Dolly was just as fast. I’ll never forget our journeys from Finchley Road in London to his Silverstone workshops…roundabouts were a blur of wrist flicking, dancing feet, and me hanging on for dear life!

It's fantastic racing and as it should be but Lanfrancchi cheated on the last bend too win. Clear as day. Car racing isn't the same any more. The cars were just damn cool and the drivers turned up with big hair and usually a cigarette in hand. Golden days.

I used to drive my mums dolly sprint like that round Guildford area in the late 70’s. Passed my driving test in it! Wonderful film lovely to see and hear them all including Barry Sheen wonderful era. Gerry M’s power to weight ratio was err.. compromised a little perhaps! 😂

The crap music really dates this, I`d have preferred the music of the engines.

Nice oldskool video. The Dolly Sprint was a real trendsetter. The first production saloon with 4 valves per cylinder, if i remember correctly. In the 1980's the Japanese ran away with that idea and produced many cars and bikes with 16valve technology. European car brands played catch up. Now pretty much every ICE car has 4valves/cylinder.

Sounds like Fred "How!/World Of Sport/Gambit" Dineage doing the voice over. Excellent track action with lots of drifting and body roll. Really enjoyed it!

My grandfather had a dolly sprint in his seventies he used to drive round fields with me as a passenger with a shotgun poking out of my window shooting rabbits, he lost it on a roundabout near Winchester in the wet , no damage but he decided to get something slower so he got a gsa citreon which was faster on roundabouts!!!

A young Andy Rouse who went onto become a pioneer of British MSport & the man in the Btcc. Don’t breed them like that no more!
