What about normal maps on tires? Are these included as well?

@@TorutheRedFox I might be dumb as shit then, i never knew it was updated with this in it ! Thought it still relied on ReShade and the fake textures and stuff
@TorutheRedFox

yeah the fake normalmap textures are now gone because they're now rendered, we just added the missing global normalmaps back so the damage and doorlines have normalmaps (on PC cars only have their own unique normalmap textures)

@@TorutheRedFox What about that other video with the shader implementation ? I remember in a older update it used to fuck with the skybox because of issues with alpha inside textures and didn't looked all that great either.
@TorutheRedFox

it's fixed i based the implementation off the PC sky shader and it all renders as it should now, no depth wonkiness or missing clouds during overcast

Normal mapping on cars? Impressive, can this be done for the grass too?
@TorutheRedFox
Жыл бұрын
grass already is normalmapped the difference between grass on pc and xbox is that xbox has a custom shader, which would need some trickery to get working

normalmaps add visual detail to things by changing the direction that a given point on an object's surface points towards, giving the illusion of a higher detailed model with small bumps on it that in reality is less detailed and flat
@wayneshobbygallery
Жыл бұрын
@@TorutheRedFoxTo put it simply, if any rough surface doesn't have normal mapping, the tiny details will look flat. But if normal mapping is applied to the surface, the tiny details will look 3D-like, especially when you shine light on it & change its direction.
