Considering that the replacement value of that truck is close to a half million dollars, after you have the basic truck, then all the armour and interior fittings installed. Not a cheap day for the creator of the accident, because her insurance likely will also get the bill for all the cash in the truck that got destroyed, by the cash containers triggering the self destruct, and destroying the cash with dye packs. Might have been a million or more in damages, and believe me the cash in transit company will go after her for them, plus the full costs of the injuries to the occupants of the truck, plus the recovery time, at least 6 months of physio, plus likely long term disability claims as well (you got a sore neck and damaged back, off on disability for a few years, at full pay, with all medical paid for) for them.

4:03 I totally understand her embarrassment. I managed to get inside of a another car that looked exactly like mine a couple years ago after shopping. The owner of that car left their doors unlocked, so I was able to open the door, thinking that it was my car. Wasn't until I sat inside that I realized that it wasn't my car. I also did that recently while returning from a store to the parking lot. I opened the rear door to put what I just bought on the back seat and was startled by a man sitting in the driver's seat who I did not notice until he started yelling at me! Fortunately, he figured out why I was trying to put my bag in his car and just yelled "You're in the wrong car!" I apologized and said "They all look alike!" and he said, no worries.

Thieves really kill me... they cause more damage than the price of what they take. An airconditioner used to be a prime target here but now many churches have "dog houses" over them. 11:27 Another clear example of bad drivers (the one in the car), the truck has wheels on both lanes so both lanes are considered as occupied by the truck (so the truck can be considered as using the rigth lane as well as part of the left lane, sometimes needed to be able to do the turn because of the length of the truck), so the car must not go in parallel with the truck, both lanes must be considered as occupied, no matter if one of them is only at 1% or at 99%. And of course the car is also making another two things bad, overtake on the rigth side while using the same lane of the vehicle that is trying to overtake and do that while the truck is clearly indicating that is going to turn (turn signal on). Luckly there was not an accident, but this way of drive (in my opinion) is justified to put the driver in jail for some years, it is a driving that can cause deaths.

Washington State law (where the video clip was taken) differentiates between Attended and Unattended Hit & Run offenses. Unattended Hit & Run is the lowest level of Hit and Run, and under Washington law is considered a misdemeanor. Washington’s Hit and Run Unattended statute is RCW 46.52.10 When a driver collides with an unattended vehicle, they are required to immediately stop and locate the owner or leave a written note (including their name and address) in a conspicuous place if the driver cannot be located. The crime of Hit and Run of an Unattended Vehicle occurs when a driver leaves the scene without giving the owner of the vehicle their contact information. Penalties for a Hit and Run of an Unattended Vehicle may include 0-90 days in jail and a fine of 0-$1,000. Being convicted of this crime does not trigger a driver’s license suspension, but may trigger suspension of a Commercial Driver’s License and insurance premiums are likely to increase.

I guess J1772 is a slightly older standard and the designers just didn't include that use case... As an European it seems just unthinkable to have a cable that doesn't lock... With our Type2 cables it's even more of a requirement since the cable can be untethered and anyone could just run away with the entire cable without causing any damage. Sometimes it would be nice for all cars to unlock the cable after done charging or after the free period ends, provided the previous charging session is properly closed when it happens so another user cannot "steal" electricity. In Europe this is only possible if the owner of the car manually chooses to have the lock released automatically, and not all cars have that setting. Yet at the same time locking the cable until the owner comes back is a good way to bill for overstaying since the system knows the car is still occupying the charging spot.

In the US Teslas come with their own special charge port and a J1772 adapter is included with every car, since that’s by far the most common standard used for public AC charging. When charging with that adapter, the charge port lock only locks the adapter in place. It doesn’t lock the J1772 handle to the adapter. Third party and home made 3D printed products are available to lock the handle to the adapter.

After a similar accident like number 19 (the second clip) happened in Sweden, where a tow truck was hit and the tow truck driver died when the car on the flatbed fell over him, they now have TMA trucks, big trucks with flashing signs and a Truck Mounted Attenuator in the back. That way, you are not only more visible, but IF someone still doesn't see you, they will crash into that instead of a person or any other vehicles. Fire departments also use them at traffic accidents.

Great video as usual. In clip #4, it is not just the car almost hitting the biker, but it starts with the car illegally making a lane change while almost hitting the biker. Here in CA, lane splitting is legal, and in my opinion, the driver is lucky losing a mirror was the only thing that happened.

It's also illegal to split on or across double-yellow or solid white lines next to carpool lanes like these two bikers were doing. They should have been 1 lane further to the right. All parties were doing stupid crap on this one, but I'd bet it won't be the last time for any of them.

9:43 - I ride a motorcycle and I'd never think of lane splitting, even in states where it's legal. I've seen way too many videos where a car changes lanes because they can't see a motorcycle riding between the lanes, and some of the crashes are deadly for the motorcyclist. This California highway death cult is making its way to other states.

Yes, that is a scary thing. And that was real smart of the other motorcycle rider to knock of the mirror and make it even harder for the driver to see motorcycles...

Mixing up cars happens often - all around the world... That's why every car has a different license plate, but some drivers don't think of checking the plate (or don't know theirs because it's too new) before messing with the wrong car... Once a friend of me had his red Kia Sportage parked at a shopping center. Next to him the same car came in, even from the same region (german plates show the area where you're from, like we've seen in some of your earlier videos) - When we came out of the shopping center, my friend went to the worng car next to his and I just said "You're the driver, you're on the wrong side" He realised what I meant and we shared a good laugh.

They were designed for Autopilot, so they use a color filter array that improves night vision at the expense of color accuracy .They didn’t plan on the dashcam feature. Tesla has just recently started delivering some cars with updated cameras that will provide better dashcam video quality.

01:40 Actually, it sucks that in Germany you have to put 1 or 2 EUR coins in the shopping carts, so you can pull it out. But we are usually spared cart demons because of that. At least from those who are not insured because the car insurance pays if the shopping cart rolls away when you are loading the groceries and damages another vehicle.
