Great video, I'm thinking about buying one for myself because I love the design and your videos always help me decide my next purchase. Do we know if the nibs are interchangeable?

Thanks. But i am still wonder which nib size is better for normal writing. Have you compared F and M?

Hi! I just tried the F. I have no comparison with a M. However I found this F to be a true F. And because I love F nibs this is perfect for me, for my normal writing. But it is different from person to person...

Objectos de escrita, Thanks for your reply. The size seems great on video. One more question, do you know the distance between dots on your paper?

It is 5 mm.

I just received a caran d'ache F Nib, I tried it, it's really good size for daily writing. It's good for both writing in small and big size characters, and very fluid for fast writing. I think the western F nib is a bit larger than Japanese M nib. That's why F is good for normal writing. Otherwise, this caran d'ache is good quality in design and details, not so expensive price. Thanks for your review.

I cannot say I am wild about this scribe; what I really don't like (& because I have such large hands) is the step down to the section - there's no way I'd be able to use this for more than five minutes' writing; second - & this is nit picking - the C-D logo on the cap finial did not align with the hexagonal format of the pen cap & shaft; from a design perspective - especially since the pen is Swiss made, demonstrates a lack of attention to detail. The nib appears capable, & the overall aspect is satisfactory, but those small details are where the pen falls down (in my humble opinion). The Rotring 'Newton' by contrast, is an outstanding piece, & I wouldn't be surprised to learn that C-D employed a little plagiarism, there. Thank you as always for a fine review, my friend :D

Thanks for such a structured comment. About plagiarism... Yes, they are very similar and there are pens around with various levels of similarities with each others... but sometimes I think it is not easy to create a pen that doesn't remember previous ones... Anyway, the Rotring Newton is a much more interesting pen.

Yes, I consider the 'Newton' to be a superior model; I'm going to source one out - preferably new, or little used - enjoy the day !! :)

Hi! Unfortunately I couldn't find it in any online store after a search. Just found this one (which isn't exactly the same model (it is a 0.7mm and has a metal button on top): www.hamiltonpens.com/products/caran-dache-844-fluoline-mechanical-pencil-yellow
