HI Simon. Thanks if you are making them order longer straps than the video states. Try 18 inch straps. Thanks Phil. 🙂

Some Caravan gadgets are a bit naf, gadgets for gadgets sake but I think the straps are great. Infinitely adjustable, no muddy pegs when you take them out of the ground. I’m still in the low tech era I’ve got a long length of the old style plastic pipe which would work really well with the straps. Great idea Phil.

Hi Colin. Yes there are some tat out there but I was impressed by this one. It will work well with the standard piping as well. If you don't want to make them there is a link to the e-bay page. I don't know them but they have sold a lot of them. Thanks Phil. 👍🙂

Yes another big thank you from me. I too have many things Colapz, I love their products. However on a recent two week holiday, even after ten days I was still trying to achieve a decent flow through my Colapz flexi waste pipe using the Colapz pegs, bits of wood and rocks over uneven ground. This is the perfect solution and I'm just glad I didn't chuck out the length of awning strip I had been saving in the garage.

Hi Phil, yes they are a great idea, I did the same as you and saw them on eBay. I’ve been using them all year with the collapse pipes and ended up with using 6 tapes in the rail. I found that hot water makes the collapse pipes sag if the tapes are too far apart which has the same effect of backing up into your shower tray. I’m now thinking of reverting back to a solid waste pipe which won’t sag and is only milligrams heavier that the collapse expandables (but still use collapse for the section from the end of the vann into the drain). Good vlog 👍🏻

Hi Paul. Thanks for watching. Funny you should mention 6 Straps. I made myself 2 further Straps. Interesting that you mention the Colapz pipes sagging when hot water is poured down them. I have not noticed but will check next we are away. Many Thanks Phil.👍🙂

Great video yet again. Excellent idea. Very much appreciated. It's so cute when oldies like us have a go at these new fangled metric measurements. 40cm for each piece, sounds a bit long to me. It's about 16 inches! 😂😃😉

Hello Kenneth. I am pleased you like the idea. Here is a link to the straps I bought. I would recommend the 18 inch ones as there is more adjustment in them. Great idea, BUT ------- Ordered from your link. --------- The Velcro straps arrived today. They are obviously too small. (12") no room for adjustment. Well I've wasted £10.49. Looking back at your video again to realise that you must have used longer Velcro straps. It would be helpful if you could give details of the sizes of the Velcro straps you used. I wonder how many people have ordered and made the error using your link provided?
@lostweekendscaravan

Thanks for the info! The ones I used were 12 inches long. If you have had issues with the bought ones. I suggest you return them. I will remove the e-bay link. I am guessing that the ones I made are better i.e. more adjustable. Sorry I had no intentions to mislead you or anyone else. The ones I made have worked fine just used them this weekend and they were fine. Phil

@@lostweekendscaravan I was not talking about the ebay velcro straps. ------> I purchased the 12" from the amazon link you provide. When the strap is folded and velcroed then the strap becomes a 4" loop. (very short). So once these straps are sewn to the awning rail it must be more than 4" drop needed to reach around the pipe. Maybe, if you could measure all 4 of your straps you show in your video.

Hi Tracey I don't understand I have checked the link and they are the ones I used. It is how you adjust them. Did you sew Velcro down and back feed them that way they are looped to about 8 inches to 3 inches. I hope i am making sense. Thanks Phil.
