I have looked up my cancer markers (CEA and CA 27.29) and notice that there is a range which is termed, "normal." What do they mean by 'normal?' Does this mean within a safe range, a common range or something else? Please advise. I ask because, while I do have a small (1.68cm) tumor in one breast, my cancer markers are (and have been since Oct 2020) well within the 'normal' range. I also ask because, despite its tiny size, the surgeon insists I need a mastectomy and my oncologist insists I must take ibrance and letrozole, both of which are obscenely expensive and, from what I've been able to determine, not all that effective AND have high-risk side effects.

There are several reasons that could increase ur CEA that aren't cancer, u should do more analitics and also check ur CA 19-9. My CEA is on 11.30 right now, my CA 19-9 is normal, but I must still do more analitics, for seeing what does increase my CEA. How are yout current levels now? u got better?@@melindagobi4830
