From the very 1st time I saw them, 8/64 in Denver at the old Downtown Auditorium Arena, Carl became my very favorite member of the group. From then, to 11/97, I saw The Beach Boys 25 times. And, in those times, it was Carl who I really came to see. Sadly, I missed his him during his solo years of late '80, to early '82. I really wish I had seen him when he was " solo" . In the summer of '76, when they came to Denver & the old Mile-High Stadium, I was lucky enough to get backstage for a few minutes, & meet Carl . He was incredibly gracious, we shook hands, & he asked me my favorite BB's song -------" DWB " -------& then he had to move on. it was less then 5 minutes, & unfortunately I forgot my camera, but it was a moment I'll never forget. ----------PS : i also saw DW with Karen Lamm----Wilson. She was a blonde babe, & every guy was staring at her. I could tell, DW loved the attention the 2 of them received. ------------------MJL< 76 y/o

Yes, Mike has a point when it comes to wanting more credit for the writing of the many legendary songs. What I and so many dislike, IS HOW, he's gone about it. Mike Love is supposed to be into peace and harmony. Yet, his actions have prove otherwise. Carl Wilson deserved so much better from both the Beach Boys and the music industry. When the Beatles left, The Beach Boys should have also. Mike has been married five times and the Maharishi years must have destroyed his marriages. Do not like that Mike tried to sue his cousin, Brian. Family should have been able to settle matters together out of court. The lives The Beach Boys were living certainly took a major toll on the music they could have written and produced.
