Hello and welcome to the Rock Interview Series, episode #82. Today, I’m thrilled to have Carl Dixon and Andy Curran from the Canadian hard rock band Coney Hatch as my guests. They are the guitarist/vocalist and bassist/vocalist of the band, respectively.
Coney Hatch also features Dave Ketchum on drums and Sean Kelly on lead guitar. The band debuted in 1982 with their self-titled album, produced by Canadian rock legend Kim Mitchell. The album included the songs “Monkey Bars” and “Devil’s Deck.”
The following year, Coney Hatch opened for Iron Maiden and Fastway on their arena tour.
Coney Hatch has released four studio albums to date: ‘Coney Hatch’ (1982), ‘Outa Hand’ (1983), ‘Friction’ (1985) and ‘Four’ (2013).
In this interview, Carl and Andy discuss their two new studio tracks, “It’s About a Girl” and “Heaven’s on the Other Side,” which are part of their latest live album “Postcard From Germany-Live.” They also talk about their upcoming show with Kim Mitchell in North Tonawanda NY on September 23, 2023 and much more.
So, without further ado, please welcome Carl Dixon and Andy Curran.
