Carla! I love your WIP Make 9 board and all the projects you have in process. You have some super projects going there. Jeff’s grandmother’s blanket is a treasure. I cannot imagine following several charts at once. Figuring out exactly where she left off shows your skill level. 👏👏👏👏 I love your ending when you say all plans may go out the window. We all understand!!! It’s good to have a basic plan but always leave room to knit what you love in the moment. 💕

Hi Colleen!! Thank you so much!! I am really excited about all of my Make Nine plans for this year. I knit a sweater several years ago where I had to follow similar directions like the blanket where you need to remember to do things from a different section at different times - ugh - it was crazy!! But I made it and it turned out okay!! We will see, stay tuned!!!😊

Hello Carla, Your WIP Make Nine was really fun to watch. I wouldn't even know how to make a Make Nine board. Along with all the socks and that beast the 1/2 & 1/2 Wrap, I now want to make an Emotional Support Chicken. I'm looking forward to seeing your next videos. See you soon !

i think you’re so brave and sweet to take on your husband’s grandmother’s afghan. i’m a wimp, and would probably make it into a lap afghan. one of my aunts finished off a quilt that my grandmother had almost finished, and i treasure it. jeff’s going to be so pleased. i’m excited to see your 3rd make 9 - socks!🧶☀️

I wondered about Amelia! Glad to see she will have something to wear! I have decided to finish a sweater and a blanket before starting any big projects. I always can throw in a hat or two if I need to feel like I am accomplishing something.

I just made a make 9 board of my wips, but I didn’t realize I had 10. Two are socks and I don’t care to knit those. I think what you’re doing for your husband is really nice. Good luck with finishing. You’re a talented knitter, you can do it! Take care Rosy

Hi Carla! I thought I would share a tip from Francesca fromThe Italian Knitter podcast, she always blocks her sweaters before she does her ribbing on the body and sleeves. Your pink sweater looks great on you!

I wish I was organized but alas I am not and won’t ever be! And good luck on Grandma’s blanket. I’m knitting with a worsted acrylic yarn for a young granddaughter’s sweater and hating every minute of it! My hands just crave wool. And older acrylic yarn--acrylic has come a long way since Wintuk yarn but still not enjoyable. Perhaps the afghan is big enough and you could just bind off? Everybody loves a lap blanket.😂

Hi Sharon! The old acrylic yarn doesn't feel to bad to the touch, but I haven't tried knitting with it yet!! What sweater are you knitting for your granddaughter? Washable acrylic yarn is easy to care for, so probably the best choice for babies and children, and their parents!😄 I like your idea of possibly binding off the blanket - it definitely could be a lap blanket as is!! So I guess I'll see how it goes!!😂

I’m knitting a Berroco pattern called Sawtelle. It’s designed for Berroco Remix which is a nice yarn but she wanted a bright blue green color to match a character in Minecraft (no Barbie pink I’m sad to say 😄) So found the exact color she requested in a Lion Brand heavy worsted. I wanted a simple garter pattern and hoping this works as I’ve only just started. Will be a heavyweight cardigan that should hold up to washing and drying, and her younger sister can wear it next. But it definitely makes my hands wish it was a wool!

Hi Emma! Gosh, I'm not sure, except that it took me awhile to stuff the head and neck just right, and several tries attaching the head to the body with enough neck circumference for it to sit nicely on the body. Good luck!!!😊
