I wish candidates got to speak like this during elections. She seems way more reasonable and intelligent than any of the candidates did during the "debates". If I had known her to be like this, I might have actually supported her. What a diservice to the entire country that people never get to truly know their candidate. They only get to know the showboating, grandstanding version they see on TV.

"Politics" in Western Civilization... It's been like this for a very long time dude. Looking at it from the lens which your comment creates for me at the moment I'd say there are 2 types of voters. Those part of the "mob" or those in the mix. Candidates do customize their message to a ton of different audiences such as the difference between a speech at 92 y street versus a speech as CPAC. I've found that what works for me is to just become boring and listen to a candidate speak to every different NGO possible, Hoover Institute is just one forum of many.

If she was liberal, she’d be heralded by press and pundits alike. Her sin...she’s a conservative woman. And the Trump faction doesn’t like her because she had the audacity to stand toe to toe with him. She represents the American Dream and would have brought class and dignity to the White House, and REAL conservative governance. Bottom line, we missed a hell of an opportunity.

What an incredible woman. Speaking so clearly and cogently about conservatism. What wisdom in elucidating easy to convey principles and characterizing the apparent shortcomings of progressivism. And what a winning take on that defining your terminology and shunning buzzwords so as not to be entrapped by all the loaded content laying in wait, spring loaded and ready to charge someone down. More Carly in the future please. What a woman.

She sounds more clear in her message here than she did during the campaign. It reminds of why if she had been the nominee, I would have been willing to support her, without much reservation. What I reflect on, though, is what she talks about here reminds me of why she came nowhere close to the nomination, and likely won't if she ever runs for president again. She is too principled for our electorate. You could also say Ted Cruz lost for the same reason. They talk more about principles than about issues. Voters care about issues, and "what is the government going to do about it?" That dynamic sets the stage for the very administrative state that she says she wants to deconstruct. Until the common argument of the voters changes, that dynamic is going to stay right where it is. The socialists in the U.S. realized in the '70s that you don't change the government from the top down. You change it from the bottom up. You change the discussion among voters, and donors. If conservatives don't realize this same dynamic, we're going to lose the whole game. It's utterly insufficient--it is self-defeating--to only get activated on stuff like this during political campaigns, supporting candidates for office who espouse what we do. If the voters don't understand these principles, and how to argue in favor of them, none of that is going to matter. The key to dismantling the administrative state is to change voters' minds and attitudes. Focus less on candidates and elections, more on the people who vote and donate money to politics, but most of all the voters.

Anthony Yannuzzi --- Carly Fiorina basically honest. She radiates sincerity and compassion. She speaks simply and clearly. Her words are not designed to obscure, but to reveal. Her focus is not on equal results, but rather equal opportunity for everyone. Most politicians, like most Western doctors, are focused on addressing symptoms. Carly, like more natural and holistic health care practitioners, focuses on removing externally infused obstacles to natural progress toward healing and/or correction. I think that's what makes her fascinating and compelling as a political figure.

Its because of oratory, the way she speaks is an acquired art form, she purposefully uses rhythm, tone, pacing, tempo to appeal to ones concupisible appetites. That's why you can't pin point the exact reason why you like her, her oratory skills bypass your intellect and will.

I believe the principles towards America's own greatness of security and safety, prosperity and unity by America's own foundation and constitutions as well as America's own patriotism and loyalty only. This is why I understand what Carly Fiorina is talking about. If we do things, make policies by principals only, we won't make mistakes again, less desasters for America's security and safety problems, more trust from Americans, less madness, angers and confusion from Americans too. When Americans are getting mad, angry and become emotional, even good leadership experiences which created massive jobs for Floridians to enjoy without worrying about would suspended for things have nothing to do with him at all times. The principles of civalized country will only come from the rules of the laws of constitutions. The rules of the laws of constitutions will establish the unshakeable principals to maintain, protect and defend America's own Capitalism systems of liberty and entrepreneurships. America's own greatness of security and safety, prosperity and unity came from it, continue from it and will never disappear and only extrordinary distinguished by America's own uniqueness of foundation and constitutions to shine on the hill forever. This is why Carly Fiorina back and forth talks about everything just about the principles. Also the honesty and integrity come from the principles, loving-kindness nature comes comes from the principles, the better life comes from principals, even the massive jobs come from the principles. As long as we stand by the principles of America's own foundations and constitutions, patriotism and loyalty. Our country's own unity will bring together for America's own greatness by America's own principals quickly. This is why I believe lead and govern by America's own rules of the laws from now, move forward, make permanent correct policies by America's own foundation and constitutions, patriotism and loyalty as well as working together for Americans' benefits as soon as possible to get things done quickly as possible. It's time to unite Republican party together as one unity and support each other for America's greatness. It's also the time to unite together as one nation under God by America's own principals of America's own constitution to maintain, protect and defend America's own Capitalism systems of liberty and entrepreneurships as well as America's own patriotism and loyalty only to lead and govern by America's own rules of the laws from now and learn more to understand more and do better in the future by our own generous mind. If we learn more, listen more, we may understand better. We shouldn't spend much of our energy and money to point fingers on electected President Trump instead of support, help and working together to get things done quickly to make America strong and great in both economy and defense capabilities absolutely. I pray for America will be strong quickly by the best business environment to create massive jobs for Americans to enjoy. I pray for America will be secured and safe by America's own foundation and constitutions as the principles, I pray for the unity of our country under America's own principals of foundation and constitutions for America's own greatness, I pray for America will lead and govern by America's own rules of the laws from now on, I pray for generous mind of forgiveness and kindness and decency, let President Clinton and his families, President Obama and his families to have a peaceful and happy retired life by our own generous mind of forgiveness and appreciate each other's services, move forward to build America for America's own greatness, I pray for President Trump will full fill his promise to his voters to put America 1st and take care of Americans 1st as massive Americans' voices, so Americans won't be divided anymore by races, genders and between the rich and poor, I pray for a peaceful societies under America's own principals of foundation and constitutions as a civilized country America, I also pray for President Trump will appoint Gov.Bush together for America's greatness by America's own foundation and constitutions for America's greatness by equality of the opportunities instead of the equality of the properties and let Americans to live better without worrying and happier. God bless America.

I didn't vote for the former 1st Lady Clinton for her serious mistakes and I also understand why Americans are mad, angry and become emotional for changes. I also believe that we may should let President Clinton and his families to have a peaceful and happy retired life and also let President Obama and his families to have a peaceful and happy retired life too by our own generous mind of forgiveness and we will be able to learn more to understand more and do better in the future. I believe that the former 1st Lady Clinton is learning too through her campaign loss, because I believe the principles of our country, endless learning, chance giving, correctness as lead and govern by America's own rules of the laws. Also as the images of our own Presidents levels. I believe that the RNC Chairman Fiorina's health insurance view makes sense though. I believe to repeal 1st and replace later for more matured and effective ways in order to not to regret again of better serving Americans of all. I believe that she talked sincerely for America's own goodness. Nothing more important than principles and principles will only come from our own country's own rules of the laws to lead and govern, even our true unity will come from that aspect too. If we lead and govern by the principles of Our own country's Capitalism systems from now on, the best business environment is absolutely most important to create massive jobs for Americans of all to enjoy without worrying. Small businesses are extremely hard to survive even in the best business environment. Under the extreme regulations and taxes, small businesses will be very easily to be tortured to deaths, because they are already much too fragile to survive. Most Americans' concept that if you have a small business, you must be rich is absolutely not often accurate. More small businesses are forced to be out of the business, more Americans will loose their stable jobs as well more medium business will absolutely be threatened, less large business will become the monopoly to possess the whole country's economy for good. The deep gap between the rich and poor will be deeply spread out without control to form the strong reason of the revolution capacity to destroy our great country America's own hard to established Capitalism systems of the liberty and entrepreneurship system for good. Any Communism system countries succeeded with the reasons of all kind, but our great country America absolutely doesn't have to push ourselves into the deep suicidal volcano. America's own foundations and constitutions are too great for us to do that. Our wise Founders put our constitutions there for reasons for our own Capitalism systems of liberty and entrepreneurship for long runs, so Americans will be able to enjoy without worrying. Our own greatness has been come from our own principles. If we don't cherish it, we won't learn often. If we don't learn it, we will forget what is our own foundations and what is the contents in our own constitutions. If we forget, we will ignore, or, neglect, or alter into the forms as you said, he said or she said...etc. Gradually, our country's own principles will be faded, our own Capitalism system will be fated, or changed into unknown for us to regret for long. Americans of all may possibly loose our own great privilege as a proud Americans of the equality of the opportunity the situations just as recall, or being regretted forever. This is why we can change our habit, hobbies, recognitions by any reasons, but as a great civilized country America, we should never change our country's own principles of the foundations and constitutions to lead and govern by our country's own rules of the laws in order to never regret as well as the responsibility of our own country's patriotism and loyalty to our country as well as their own voters of massive Americans. God bless America and America's own principles of foundations and constitutions for America's greatness forever.

I'm not sure why Carly Fiorina is ever offered a platform to speak. She's a failed businesswoman, a failed politician, and doesn't offer any new ideas or strategies. She's pretty much a great example of how affirmative action in the work place is a terrible idea. She lacks in both accomplishment (in the relative sense) and in ingenuity. Her ideas on the economy and the military are same-old neoconservative talking points that have been refuted a million times. For the most part, the predictions she's made and the advice she's given have been dead wrong and horrible...and her only defense would be she was only saying what the Republican mainstream was saying, since she doesn't really deviate from that.

Simply put, I just don't believe it. I don't think government can intelligently throw money at anything ($20 trillion and counting). The right always wants to increase military spending. I know she said she wants to spend more wisely, but that's just talk. What actions from politicians in your lifetime have given you any hope that a scenario like that will actually happen? I mean I would LOVE it if I could believe this rhetoric, but I'm just too skeptical of politicians. My rule that I've stolen from others is this: trust that politicians will do the terrible things they say they want to do; don't trust the good things they say. It's simple but pretty effective at predicting outcomes. A Fiorina presidency would likely increase overall government spending, regardless of her rhetoric or desires, when what we really need are HUGE cuts to everything. I believe her when she says she'll increase government spending for military (we don't need this and it won't make us safer). I don't believe her when she says we can save money everywhere (I would love to see it though). That's why that line about military spending sticks out to me. Hope that gives you some insight as to why I posted it.

Fully disagree. If the dollar collapses which it will because the debt is unsustainable, we're headed for depression, isolation for 10-20 yrs and if you cut military spending during a vulnerable state like that... especially when China & Russia start to crack up... you increase our chances of invasion by a factor of (military invasions + cia coups) squared.

No one should pay any attention at all to this nitwit opportunist. Due to a fluke of fashion, she is personally responsible for converting one of the foundational pillars of US instrumentation and technology to a water-based printer company - a technology which barely worked, and which had no staying power. If she hadn't managed to bury the goldenest of golden parachutes in her hiring contract, we would never have heard of her after she was fired. Her reign at HP is a true work of idiocracy: The Dilbert Principle raised to the ultimate level.

svjsfgh Firstly, did you listen to the interview and Q and A at any length? What do you mean by "mechanism"", and how, and to whom, is this principled, educated woman "pandering"? Are you more so the Regulatory State, Top-down, big govt., Progressive, and not a "first principles" Constitutionalist-Conservative? What is your idea of the scope and size of govt., in respect to the social and the economic challenges currently facing the United States, and how does your "personal" brand of politics figure in bettering individual lives? There were plenty of very insightful things that Carly had to share, but perhaps you are of a different opinion?
