I want to share my Melo story. I went to school near the Pepsi center. One day after my last class I was at the gas station filling my tank. There was a stray dog and I heard some dude howling and barking at it. I was like wtf is this guy doing? I turn around and it’s Melo howling lol. He was filling his tank. He was talking on the phone but I walked up to him, shook his and and he nodded at me. We didn’t say anything to each other and I walked back to my car. Lame story but it was crazy at the time. Was cool that he shook my hand. He was a big deal to me because I followed him at Syracuse and he was the savior for the nuggets. I called all my friends right after I got back in the car. That was 15 years ago. I’ve always loved Melo

I remember listening to Shattered and they talked about how D'Antoni came up to Melo and told him he wanted Melo to run the offense and basically be his Nash/Harden/LeBron and Melo was like nah smh

Who told that story? Back in the day, the story was D'antoni wanted him to be more of a spot up 3-point shooter.

@@dylusional419 What makes it funny is he turned down that role which lead to the Knicks bringing in Lin, then Melo threw shade at Lin when Lin was in that role lol

So glad he's not playing The Garden anymore. Awful. Always about his shots. Never about wins.

Melo chose money over winning melo chose scoring and being selfish over winning he should of went to Miami with wade and James but he wanted the money how much money do you need 200 million is more then enough money hell 25 million is enough money to live off of for life but money is why the NBA is trash now the guy last on the bench makes 10 million that’s ridiculous you use to have to win to get the big bucks now if you average 30 you get paid win no ships

Phil Jackson ruined the knicks and Carmelo Anthony!!… never hired a decent coach!!… signed bum players….Then tried to put it all on Carmelo bcuz the knicks were trash!!… should of kept mike Woodson as coach!!

Reality is them nuggets got lucky to get there wasn't gonna do that again. And clearly you wasn't a leader like Kobe who beat you he had to rebuild multiple times and won multiple rings out of it. Mistake #1 leaving Denver mistake #2 chasing the 💰 to new York #3 not joining the Spurs who desperately needed you like you desperately needed a team like that if so you would be talked about like Bron right now over in his shadows fk New York 🎯

I jjust feel like he should have been given the opportunity to retire with style and grace....I know he wasnt as good as he was back then but c'mon....he's still good enough to come off the bench like he did In LA....he had the highest 3 pt percentage on the team that year....
