I've been looking for a video that doesn't just speed through the game but actually stop to examine everything because it's supposed to be an entertainment game. So for a guy who's curious about history, cultural geography and the people, it's nice that you take the time to examine everything and not just simply try to solve the puzzles asap.

That's the difference between a longplay and a walkthrough. Those terms can help you find the kind of video you're looking for! But not even videos intended to be longplays always do it this good

This is a BLAST from the past indeed. This was one of my favorite Carmen Sandiego games (along with a few others). These were so fun to play ❤❤❤

I really appreciate having this out there, it was a good watch without having to do all the clicking myself, and it showed a lot of stuff I didn't know about. I enjoyed the random dialogue possibilities the game developers took the effort to specifically write and record, like "thief on the NOOSE.. ach, no, no, that's only if we catch the scoundrel" (2:35:29), and all the puns on incorrect hiding spots "Burbage may steal a scene or two, but he's not our suspect" (4:34:52) There was one notable interaction this video missed. If you play Edison's recording to Joe, he says something like "Edison is that you? I'm not giving you any more free cotton!"

4:20:20 Charles Martinet voiced Shakespeare! 5:20:24 Charles Definitely used a bit of his Wario voice for Beethoven. Wario was meant to be part-German.

This game was one of my favorites as a child. I'm so glad my parents let me play it because I wouldn't have heard of some of the people mentioned without it (Mansa Musa, Murasaki Shikibu, and more. I loved every bit (ok, that Columbus level was SO HARD and it turns out Columbus wasn't a great guy). I would love go try and play again but I can't find my CDs! Fun fact: the emperor mentioned in the Inca level is the same Pachacuti from the Horrible Histories sketch/song. I would have never put the two together if not for loving both this game and Horrible Histories.

There are a few skippable sections where the player does nothing for a few minutes, probably bathroom/snack break as he played the whole game in one go. They're at 43:46-45:56 (Vinland), 3:47:04-3:48:28 (Da Vinci), 4:37:51-4:40:28 (Jefferson), 5:37:31-5:40:18 (Beethoven). There might have been another one.

Who here played this game when it came out and which mission was the hardest to figure out??? Mine was the Inca empire calendar one. You had to use your math skills, which i still suck at to this day 😂

I struggled so much with that one too! Second would be weighing the gold in exchange for salt for Mansa Musa.

I've been trying to find a way to play mine. Do you have an old PC you're playing on? Or is it possible to play on newer software?
@JCEurovisionFan1996

It's possible to play on newer software because some of its games are compatible to or even playable on Win10 computers, but the truth is I don't have an old PC I was playing on because some of it are irreparable or having expensive parts.
