very nice.. i dont think people realize how difficult this must be to create.. i mean i don't know i am just guessing it must be very hard.. there's one thing i noticed which is that characters are too bright you know? wouldn't they look better if they kinda interacted with the light in their environment? again sorry if i sound ignorant but i just don't have any idea how it's made so yeah.. overall your work is good.. if you can do this alone, in a team you would be amazing..

Thank you so much for your comment! Because I'm making the show alone, I've decided to keep a more flat look by not matching the character lighting to the scenes. I'm basically doing it to save time during the production. And I guess the bloom effect that I'm adding creates the "too bright" look that you're referring to. It's just a stylistic choice. I just kinda like it. It creates a more dreamy look, which is what I was looking for because the story itself is the memories of the main character who recalls them years later. I agree that with a team, it would be much faster, and the quality would be a lot better, but for now, I can only afford to create stuff by myself and I'm trying to improve little by little over time. I think I'll experiment more with lighting in my next show... which should be very soon. Carmilla has one more episode to go :)

@@PULPANIME yeah i thought so too that you're doing it to save time and i think it's a good choice instead of focusing on the tiniest details.. and to be honest i couldn't keep up with the story..i watched the first episode but i'll watch all of it probably in a couple of days when i manage to create some time for it.. but yeah that's the way to progress, little by little..

@chanl553 haha, I totally get why it's hard to keep up with the story. The original novel is very vague, and I had to take some liberties with filling up some plot holes to make it easier for the viewers. I'm not sure if I did such a good job with it, but it's the first time for me to try to tackle long form episodic storytelling. Haha, I think I should focus on stories that are a bit easier to follow for my future projects 😅

@@PULPANIME i see.. well i'll know when i've watched it lol.. and yes it's always best to start with something completely minimalistic.. like if it's your first movie you're directing, you should try making something like saw 1 or immaculate room.. where the whole movie is in one room with two cast members.. or even if you're starting a clothing brand starting with just plain black t shirt or something is usually a good starting point.. so you're the expert lol but maybe you can in future make something which is limited in it's scope and the variety of scenes.. maybe it won't even have any outdoor scenes.. one thing that just came into my mind is that for example it can be a story of two friends or strangers climbing a difficult mountain and in the way they share deep stories about their lives and also the viewers gets to see how they help each other or not when hardships come while climbing.. BUT i know it's so easy to just sit and talk like i am doing and creating something is a completely different thing so you do what you think is best.. and you're already doing very good and even potraying complex scenes.. i watched a couple.. so yeah..

@chanl553 Thank you so much! I've heard the advice of starting minimalistic before, but I'm afraid I couldn't help myself. I really wanted to push myself with this project. But at the end of the day, it's a question of balance...to find something that will be achievable but that will still push you and motivate you to keep working on it. And the cool thing about animation is that you can really do a lot more than what you would be able to do in live action. Especially if you are working alone or on a small budget. And I think you have great ideas. I love hiking in general, i think it can be very interesting visually, and I think that you can make an awesome web series out of it if you'd wish to create it. I really believe that it is very achievable for anyone to create content similar to the stuff that I'm making. And if you need any advice, I'll be more than happy to help:)
