I had to test them all in one video to check if they are similar to each other or not. Otherwise I would combine them with different colors. I feel like too often I do monochromatic purple makeup

In most cases, these recommendations are accurate and, especially for beginners, they can be a good indicators of which brushes to start with to see what is most convenient and start building your preferences :D But I personally have brushes that are over 7 years old and have changed their function several times during their lifetime. I used to use pencil brushes only for the lower eyelid and inner corner, the brush I used to contouring was a blush brush for me, while a blush brush I would use more for powder. Not to mention brushes that are recommended for eye makeup, and I use them for highlighter, because I prefer smaller and more precise brushes. My oldest brush initially was used for the entire eye makeup, then only matte eyeshadows, then only shimmers, then blending edges of the eye makeup, then I used it to apply powder under the eye, and now it is "retired" and serves me as a brush for applying matte beige I have much more examples like these. And the obvious obviousness - I would never have known that, for example, a foundation brush would be perfect for cream blushes if I hadn't experimented with it first ;)

@@EwaMakeupArtist Yeah, I am not going to lie, I don't pay too much attention to the official "recommendation" for what a brush is for. Facial features and eye shapes are different, I find sometimes that I might hate a particular brush for my face or eye personally when it comes to the use it was marketed for, but I might really enjoy using it for something different.

Exactly! I like to check recommendations tho, I always have this "who knows, maybe I'll like it" attitude Plus even if I won't use a given brush in the recommended way, I can check if it will actually be okay for this role - it's not just about me anymore, but to know what can be recommended to others :)

I wish they would have done warm naturals colorful in the middle and then have the cool tone neutrals this palette is big enough to have it all but it doesn't it was so close
@EwaMakeupArtist

I like it the way it is. If this palette had to have more nude eyeshadows then I would rather to have more taupe shades than typical neutrals and for sure not warm toned. I have enough of those and all Carnival palettes have a lot of warm toned shades including nude ones. Finally the palette that is really different from the previous ones, for dark/gothic/grunge taste :D

Why "unfortunately"? It's only makeup. I don't support the brand, because I don't find it interesting anymore. All those dramas aren't helping, true, but I don't regret buying his palettes back then. I had fun with them, I loved them, I depoted them and I still have some eyeshadows and lip products in my drawers. I spent my hard-earned money on all of it, so I'm not going to throw it away now :D

When you said the brushes are sharp and precise are you referring that they are very flat and firm? After you washed them, do they kept their softness or do they go harsh?
@EwaMakeupArtist
Жыл бұрын
When I say "sharp tip" I mean like the knife edge, so very thin, flat and well just sharp and precise? How else can I describe it? :D If I remeber corectly these words also Stacey used. If you use a lot of angled brushes you should see the difference between some of them - the hair on the tip being more like "squeezed" or "wide". Those more squeezed are better, because you can draw more precise lines. The hair aren't too much "spread out". In previous video I showed close-ups of all brushes, so just check that video to see how the look like up close. They kept their softness, but I have no idea how you clean your brushes. I don't have issue with bristle going harsh in any of my brushes.
@nunumakeup85

@EwaMakeupArtist thank you for replying I think these are must-have brushes. I normally spot-clean them with ISO clean or wash them with nondetergent soap and lukewarm water. I just can't imagine how precise the small brushes (angle and cut crease brushes) might be. Definitely want to get my hands on this set.
@EwaMakeupArtist
Жыл бұрын
Maybe that's the problem - "or". ISO clean is actually an alcohol. Alcohol will dry any hair. Even when I use ISO, I always wash my brushes afterwards.
@nunumakeup85
Жыл бұрын
@EwaMakeupArtist ohhh.. No.. I didn't know ISO clean had alcohol. What do you use to spot clean brushes? I might gonna have to look for a different brush cleaner once i used up the ISO. Thank you!..
@EwaMakeupArtist
Жыл бұрын
All cleaners like ISO has alcohol. That's why they work like that. Alcohol evaporates and that's how your brushes dry so fast. So if you want to have such brush cleaner then every single one of them will have propanol or any other alcohol. I use ISO clean, but only when I see my bristle is stained. I wash all my brushes, then I see which ones are still stained, use ISO, and then wash them again. I rarely use ISO when I forget to wash my brushes, to keep them relatively clean, but after makeup is done, I wash them. I never use ISO twice on a brush without washing it at all in the meantime. Most of the time when I forget to wash my brushes, I prefer to take out other clean ones.
