Timeless! She had her own way of singing and I don't think anyone can match it. One beautiful voice with one heck of a vocal range! I remember when she passed....couldn't believe it. I used to listen to her as a boy and I've been listening to them ever since. I heard her sing "Superstar" with only a drum and bass playing in the background...just her pure natural voice and was beautiful. She was one of a kind!

Karen was an angel sent to earth to soothe our souls. Her lovely voice, her sweet innocent face her outright pure love for what she was doing. And Richard was a total genius in seeing how immensely talented she was. He became obsessed with presenting her talent to the oworld. Being a total musical genius himself they became the greatest duo ever heard. They were brother and sister. They gave us all a portrait of treasured music , beautiful voices and endless talent. I think the greatest pop group ever. Karen is alive in the beautiful vocals and will be with us forever.

I saw them in concert in 1974. It was a dream come true to see her beauty of her and her voice in person.. She took the show. It was special to see the children sing the chorus in "Sing" also. Saw them in Dallas. Her music is still as refreshing today as ever. I wrote a letter to Richard giving him my sympathy when Karen died but got no response. I wanted to do something to show appreciation for their music to my soul. Their kind of music has since then never been match for sure.

Listen to her range on this medley. The band had to keep up. She was the instrument, and made it look so easy. She lifts her voice and no man-made instrument can approach her range and timing. She did not even have to try that hard to sing, she had a gift that few others, despite years of training could even approach. Look at the ease in which she sang entire octave changes. Her lower register was simply incredible.
