I'd probably just use carpet tracks and sandwich everything in place with molding so I could hang standard deep pile flooring carpet on my walls if I were setting up a really high-end home theater. Having said that, this is definitely the approach I'd take to noise damping a home theater. Just carpet everything that can reasonably be carpeted. It's still cheaper than trying to cover the walls in acoustic foam.

We use to use contact cement to hang that carpet. Ozite carpet when made is rolled up while the dye is hot so it causes shading when unrolled. We used both methods of cutting the seams double cut and roll cut, because of the shading it really didn’t make much difference.

Might have or could have tried to roll the carpet sideways. But looks nice.

Were they off different rolls ? Maybe a different dye batch? I have done that before in a few lifts but not as big a area as you have, keep up the great videos .

Could it be that the difference in shade is because the two carpet pieces are running opposite ways?
@FloorsbySouthernboys

mat and cat It would make sense but I kept close eye on that Just so that I would not run one the wrong way, they are all in the same direction

Would a good pressure sensitive glue work? We are getting ready to start a job where we are putting the same type of carpet on walls in a church basketball court. They had it on before and had problems with it coming loose in spots. They are block walls but where the carpet goes they installed osb. I thought maybe the new osb might have soaked in a lot of the glue. Might act as a sealer for me. My thought was to roll on pressure sensitive, let dry, and put in new. We use parabond 5080. Don’t know where to get wallpaper adhesive, would good multipurpose be better. This is a big job and don’t want any problems. Thanks.

Did you roll the glue on? How's long is the work time? How did the glue hold? Is there glue transfer on the backing?
@FloorsbySouthernboys

Yes we did roll the glue on and I don’t know specifically but we have plenty of working time and the glue held wonderful , It was really nice and thick so it really grabbed a whole when we touched the carpet to it and yester was transferred to the backing
